Can the bag be folded when not in use?

Yes. The material is a little stiff but it will fold in thirds

Not ideal, but works in a pinch. We use when traveling by putting two in a golf travel bag intended for one bag and use on carts. Have to readjust a couple times during round but has stiff enough upper area to allow cart strap to hold upright.

yes it collapses. I am not sure about the size of you suitcase but it does collapse.

What is the real height (cannot be 13)? i assume the diameter is 12 x 10

The bag is collapsible, but when extended it is comparable to any carry bag. Cart bags may be slightly longer. Bag stored for winter but would estimate 35 inches as a std putter head is just above the top. The shafts of metal woods are well protected.
