Nice, but...
I have used several different jigs. This one is constructed the best. For wood doors I do not think you can beat it. For remodelers such as myself I'm not so sure this one is the best choice if you are going to have only one boring jig. I have not tried using this jig with bits other than the ones that come with the kit. so i do not know if you can use bi-metal hole saw bits without flipping the jig to drill it from each side. I think metal doors are out when using this jig. The cost of this jig is high so it is a factor. It clamps on very well and doesn't move. It is a little hard to line up or center on the marks you draw for placement. You have to do some pre-measuring on the jig and find center to top of jig and mark that point. There are no center line marks on this jig like others I have used. So for wood doors this is the jig you want. If remodeling is your trade and you are are only going to have one jig this one isn't the best choice.

10850 Boring Jig Review
The Classic Engineering 10850 Boring Jig was counted on heavily to deliver precise cuts with minimal to no room for error. The jig provided complete accuracy with every door, start to finish. The jig seated properly on the work piece, with a nice clamping action. The jig can accommodate various door thickness and sizes and types. This specific project required different set-back points. The jig has a really nice set-back guide that ensures a square cut every time. The cutting blades are solid, but be patient, especially with veneer rails/styles. The cost of this device is offset in the speed and accuracy of cuts and is really worth adding to your tool collection. Classic Engineering 10850 Boring Jig Kit - Includes 5" Backset
