Where does the Flexcut Slipstrop's yellow compound fall on the spectrum of rouge -> white -> green?

I rarely use the yellow, rouge and white compound...I will get better results with the green on a leather slop for my carving tools. Afterwards, I finished with the Tormek Honing Compound PA-70 on another leather slop. Awesome results.. You have to experiment that will fit your needs.

Does the block have concave areas for gouges?

Each "hill" on the block is a different shape so you can apply the gouge tool face-down on it. So no, no concave areas, per se, since the cutting is done primarily from the top side, which you turn face down and drag across the "hill" that best matches the shape of the tool (like in the picture)

Will this work with my micro v shaped tools? I have sizes 1.5, 2, and 2.5 mm tools.

Yes it will, I use this on all of my carving tools, large and micro. It is the best stop I've had since my starting to carve 8 yrs ago!

Is the tan area on the left a strp of leather?
