Unlike other hot sauces, there is subtle depth in flavors derived from aged soybeans, kelp and shiitake mushrooms. It does not have the sharp and bitter taste that comes from fillers, flavor enhancers and preservatives which most store bought ones have. INGREDIENTS: Hot Pepper Paste (Water, Soybeans, Glutinous Rice, Sugar, Salt, Hot Pepper Powder, Tomato, Spirits), Vinegar, Water, Onion, Radish, Sugar, Hot Pepper Powder, Kelp, Shiitake Mushroom, Garlic, Ginger, Spirits. Only premium quality natural ingredients are used to create Wholly Jang. No ingredients you can't pronounce are used, and no short cuts either. Imagine a loving grandparent making a wholesome sauce from scratch with the best ingredients possible. Wholly Jang embodies that love and care that a grandmother has for her grandchildren. All Wholly Jang sauces are gluten-free and made with non-GMO soybeans. Unlike many factory-made Korean sauces, Wholly Jang sauces are unpasteurized to preserve beneficial bacteria. What is Bibim Gochujang and what do I do with it? Bibim Gochujang is traditionally called Cho Gochujang in Korean. (Cho means vinegar or sour.) It is traditionally used as a dipping sauce or a seasoning sauce that is mixed in with the food just before eating. It is great for bibimbap, hwedupbap (raw fish and vegetables on rice), or any food you want to spice up. Add the desired amount of sauce and mix it in thoroughly, or simply drizzle on top. You will also love it as a dipping sauce or a salad dressing.

Rich flavor, clean taste, lots of heat
This sauce is delicious! As described, it starts with a little bit of sweet and tangy flavors that have a lot of depth. The flavor is fresh and clean, and I appreciate the lack of chemicals and artificial ingredients. You can tell that they didn't take any shortcuts in making this sauce. The rich flavor is followed by spicy kick that you won't soon forget :) I'll be more sparing with this sauce next time because a little goes a long way, both in flavor and in heat.Regarding freshness: I ordered this sauce on July 24, 2015, and the bottle has has a best by date of Feb 10, 2016. It will be long gone before then.

Gochujang sauce, not paste!
This is a Gochujang sauce, not a paste. The consistency is like a runny ketchup, not the thick spreadable paste that I'm used to getting in a Korean restaurant with my bulgogi and kimbop. This is not quite as spicy hot and potent like the paste either, you may as well pay less for the paste and water it down a bit. The flavor was good and would make a great wing sauce. The seller advertised it correctly, I just missed the sauce part and expected a paste. I like that it comes in a glass jar and is pourable, it was well packaged and arrived timely.

Delicious!!
YUM! This sauce is so good. It is quite spicy but don't let that frighten you. I have cut the heat (even though I love it) by adding it to BBQ sauce, pasta sauce, ketchup, and even used it in place of other hot sauces. Don't limit it to just Korean or even Asian foods... use it with everything! And no, no one has paid me or compensated me in ANY way to say this. I really like it that much. :)I also like the list of ingredients. No fillers or weird ingredients.I'm also a big fan of their soy sauce, doenjang, and gochujang.

Very tasty!
Really, really delicious! We love that this product has very simple, vegan friendly ingredients. My wife and I became obsessed with Korean food recently and are working on building up our pantry. We're so thrilled with this gochujang! We usually stir it in our hot pot/ramen dishes as a finishing touch and it tastes fantastic. We will be ordering it again!

Best Jang Ever
Like all of this company's sauces, this jang is perfect. I use it straight up like a sauce on veggies and rice. You can make it into a sauce or just use it plain. It's perfect either way.
