Great Set of Cables
These VGA cables have the same look, feel, & build of the composite cables that come with the newer versions of the xbox. They don't feel cheap, and have worked great since I received them. I was worried that they wouldn't look as good as an HDMI cable, but the video is crisp and full HD.

Cheap imitation
This cable is not the same as Microsoft's genuine VGA cable. I experienced severe image quality degradation compared to the original product I've used last year. Also the RCA /3.5mm adapter wasn't included.

You get what you pay for; quality VGA output in various resolutions native, upscaled starting @ 1280x1024 5:4/1280x960 4:3 res.
Point full stop: these are the cables you want. While there are third party cables that provide as good of a signal, they (like Madcatz) - on that note, they've never made 'bad' controllers for years, they're just good only for a few months before cheap construction has bits and pieces falling off (i.e. their X360 controller, which in design is great and feels amazing...for 6-7 weeks until the sticks start becoming loose, bumpers fall off or stick and buttons stop responding - at one third the price, I guess you get what you pay for.Anyways, same goes here. Want basically the component cample for a monitor but don't want to deal with adapters that may or may not be good? This is what you want. Playing Lollipop Chainsaw @ 1440x1080 or so and it looks great. Not too expensive, spend the extra cash for the official cable instead of a cheap one. What I omitted from my display is the obviousness of 1920x1080 for 16:9 upscaled. This can be done depending on the display with component, but for anyone who owns a desktop computer and a monitor that, this should be obvious and it's much easier in that it works with far more displays than component and bears the best picture among the bunch (IMO, VGA < HDMI, lacks the artificial sharpness). You may need a DVI converter which you can find at a Goodwill for about three dollars. Interestingly enough, as I noted, the 360 seems to be able to render native at the equal to 720 and (8xx-9xx) for 5:4 and 4:3. While games like Dark Souls are cropped, the pixels are noticeably higher. Understandable seeing as there's just less pixels period (most AAA titles are not cropped and will run in their PAL equivalent in a 5:4 ratio with NTSC framerate).Anyways, great cables - OFFICIAL cables - worth it for all the spare monitors you might have without HDMI or comoponent and you want to set up a LAN session

Works well, helps avoid input lag on some TVs
The cable works and seems genuine. I got it to help reduce the input lag on my new TV and it seems to have done the job. I already had my sound going to a sound bar instead of the TV so the fact that VGA doesn't carry sound didn't matter to me.

It's ok?
i bought this to play my Xbox 360 on my monitor and it works ok but the quality could be improved but I would only recommend this if you don't mind playing on non hd

MUCH better than the knock-offs
I previously purchased a no-name xbox VGA cable off eBay. It looked and felt legit, but when I plugged it in I got HORRIBLE ghosting. There was a duplicate shadow image projected behind the main image, so everything was blurry and it was not a good gaming experience. Furthermore, there was loud buzzing in the right audio channel. I decided my only choice was to get the expensive Microsoft cable (which right now is marked down from $40 to $20 on Amazon). The official Microsoft cable works like a charm. The picture is clear and crisp and the audio is perfect as well. It's also much longer than the no-name cable I had purchased, at about 4ft long. Remember that you'll probably need an RCA to 1/8" adapter to plug into your computer or audio source. Also, the RCA section of the cable is short, so if your audio source is far away you'll need an RCA extension. I currently have my xbox connected to a 23-inch Dell s2340m monitor at 1080p through this VGA cable. I'm running the audio cables into a little Pyle headphone amp ($14 on Amazon). That's the entire setup and it's fantastic. My only con is that this item is pricey, but it's the only choice since most knock-offs don't work properly. So stay away from the $5 cables on Amazon and eBay and get the official Microsoft one. You'll be glad you did.

worse than 480p
Did not work as advertised. The resolution is horrible. You can barely read the text. I am using it on a 1440x900 monitor and its not working well. I am getting sound through computer speakers but the video resolution is so bad its not playable. Waste of money...

Beware- this is for older xbox 360. If you bought your xbox in 2013, 2014 or later, this cable will not work. The large plug connection at the "xbox side" of the cable has no compatible jack connection on a 2013/2014 current model xbox 360 "console E" etc..
