Best Capo Out There
This precision made Capo is easy to place over the strings without fretting. It works for me on multiple guitars without needing to adjust it. If you ever need to use it, the adjuster is intuitive and easy to use. It even has a slot for guitar picks. I have been using multiple of these for years. Great product.

An excellent trigger-style capo
Love this capo! Perfect pressure, looks pretty, and is just an amazing capo. I paid well for the product. Feels sturdy in my hand too. I probably won't use the pick holder (since I play finger style), but regardless, it feels fine as well. All in all, a beautiful, well-made, vastly-superior-to-my-Donner-DC2 capo. Will buy again!

Absolutely the best!
Having played guitar for nearly 55 years, you can be sure that I have used every imaginable capo, looking for the best one in a performing setting as well as a recording setting. Up until using this capo, my capo of choice was the Shubb roller bearing, aluminum capo. It is an outstanding product, especially in a recording environment where speedy capo changes are not a concern. But I am going to have to go with the Planet Waves Tri-Action capo for the performing settings. There is nothing to compare it to, really, for accuracy and ease of use. It can be parked on the head of the guitar when not in use, and can be adjusted by the screw adjustment to suit your needs. I find that with no adjustment at all, I can capo anywhere and anytime on the first 6 frets, with not a single string being pulled out of tune. That's as far as I ever capo, so that suits my needs perfectly. The spring release grip requires no squeezing effort at all to put on or take off of a fret, and you can be sure your strings will still be in tune! There is no way to explain how superior this capo is to all others that I have used. There is a slight radius to the barre, to accommodate most guitar necks, and the rubber material that rests on the strings is soft enough to prevent a harsh, tinny, sound, yet just hard enough to produce a bright, natural acoustic sound.I could go on and on, but you just have to experience it. If the only capo you have ever used is a Kyser, and you think it is reallygreat, then you need to do yourself a huge favor, and upgrade to the Planet Waves Tri-Action capo. You will quickly realize that you Kyser probably will never be picked up again, except for that occasional song that requires you to capo just a few strings.Absolutely the best capo I have ever used.

A nice compromise between a Kyser and a Schubb
I did some research on capos and decided to give Planet Waves a try. I previously had one of those bungie cord like capos, which was fine but it is a bit cumbersome. The other capos I looked into were Kyser and Schubb. Kyser is great because of its easy trigger grip. It's disadvantage however is that it has a lot of weighted tension on one side so it can knock your strings out of tune. The Schubb deals with this issue by having an adjustable tension spring that will adjust pressure according to the thickness of the neck. The problem with the Schubb, however, is that it can't really be manipulated with one hand and it can easily fall of the guitar. In comes the Planet Waves. It has a trigger grip so technically you can easily move it around the fretboard. However, because of the adjustable tension, you do need to adjust it when moving to a different neck thickness. It might rule out the one-handed ease but it does take care of Schubb's problem of falling off. In reality, I only found that I need to adjust the tension when switching between guitars or if I move up way up the fretboard. Between the 1st and 5th fret, I don't really need adjust. However, if for some reason I want to capo at the 7th, I do need to adjust the tension because it's too tight. In all, it's not that big a deal and it's nice to have the option to adjust the capo.In all, I'm happy. No capo is perfect. You can do partial capos with this one. Another review complained that it created buzz but all you need to do it adjust the tension. In case you aren't aware, this particular capo model only works on six string steel guitars. I have an electric guitar, a nylon and a Recording King ROS-06 with a chunky neck. Works great on the electric with the skinny neck and the ROS-06 with that chunky neck. Since the capo was built for guitars with a radius fretboard, it does not work on classical guitars (or anything with a flat fretboard). The capo will not reach across the entire fretboard and since the cap is curved, it will not apply pressure on the middle strings. It's a nice capo but it may not be what you're looking for so I recommend looking into the other two big hits in capos.

Great product
This adjustable capo is awesome. I've had ones over the years that were too tight and caused the guitar to go sharp. With this capo, you can adjust to what ever pressure you need. This will accommodate varying neck sizes and fretboard action with a simple dial. Loved it and bought several more including this recent purchase.

Cam action is great
Definitely better than the typical style of capos. The cam action means it doesn't press TOO hard on the strings and throw you out of tune. It really does work.
