I tried to put a regular strap lock on my Fender Newporter Player acoustic-electric guitar and there's not enough length on the input jack pin. This works exactly the same but requires NO installation! I only wish I could put this same clip on my current strap because it matches so much better, but this is my Pride strap now!

My favorite strap! Very comfortable and securely locks on. Easier and cheaper than putting strap locks on all your guitars. Combines the feel of soft leather with the quick adjustment of a nylon strap.

As a user of Yamaha Silent guitars, I found the D'Addario Universal Strap Locks to be an ideal solution. The unique strap pin system on these guitars, which doubles as a latch for the detachable upper body rim, often causes standard straps to easily loosen with movement. These strap locks, however, work perfectly for this specific purpose, keeping my strap securely in place.My experience with other acoustic guitars, however, was less successful. Many acoustics feature a strap pin on the heel of the neck, an area that is often curved with limited surface space. I tried, but I simply couldn't attach the strap locks in these instances. Additionally, I have concerns about their compatibility with acoustic guitars that use an oversized endpin jack as a strap pin (common on models with pickups), and I'm unsure if these strap locks would fit.
