Awesome brush cleaner! Gets gesso out without sink rinsing!
Disclaimer: I am a mixed media hobby artist (for almost 10 years now), and I do not work in oil paints, only acrylics and watercolor. And I use gesso a lot for prepping my art journal pages, but I do not rinse my gesso brushes out in the sink because it will eventually clog the pipes!I bought this product solely for getting the gesso out of my brush, and it works beautifully for that. What I do is, I have one brush used exclusively for gesso'ing. I keep 2 wide-mouthed glass jars (old pickle jars) and a pitcher of water handy. I rub a little Pink Soap into the ferrel of my gesso brush, just a bit, wipe with a paper towel, then I gesso my pages as usual. When I'm done, I pour some water into one of the jars, then I rinse out my brush in that. I add a little more pink soap to the brush, work it in and watch the gesso work out of the brush like magic. (Sometimes I have to do this twice.) I repeat the rinse, then I pour some water into the other jar and do a clean rinse in it of the brush. That usually completes the brush cleaning. I pour out the jar water on my grass outside my back door, wipe out the jars, and nothing goes down my sink. The Pink Soap keeps my brush soft and pliable, too. No more stiff brushes because no paint is left in its hair to dry hard. And, sometimes when I am interrupted in my arting and need to keep my brush "wet", I rub some pink soap into it and it keeps it from drying out. I just rub my brush with a paper towel to get the excess pink soap out. This stuff does not interact with my paints and it also has a nice pleasant scent, like baby powder. And it goes a long way, too. So, it has become a staple in my art studio. The directions say it is for all artist paints types, and after reading the other reviews, I see it is a good degreaser (although I use my trusty Dawn dishwashing liquid for that purpose). However, I will try using the Pink Soap on stuff that Dawn doesn't clean well. I know that the Pink Soap will get paint out of brushes that I thought I cleaned well enough with Dawn, so I guess it does work better.I am very happy with this product, and because a little goes a long long way, the cost seems high but it lasts a long long time. So, it is a small prcie to pay for me to know that I'll always be able to get my brushes clean and conditioned.

Its not a miracle but close to it.
This pink soap is not a miracle but close to it. I am an artist and this soap has managed often to save my clothes from oil paint if I act quickly enough to realize I spilled it on me. If I wait too long or the spill is too large all I can hope for is improvement. But I am vigilant and it has paid for itself many times. I won't oil paint without it.

Speedball Pink Soap is Awesome
Speedball Pink Soap is a traditional industry standard for cleaning artists’ brushes. So a lot of people would recommend it just on reputation alone. But I would like to give Pink Soap a more personal recommendation.I love this soap because it works very gently on my brushes. Other soaps and cleaners loosen the bristles, and there’s nothing more annoying than having to remove a bristle from a freshly painted canvas. This soap is easy on my hands. I use my hands for stuff and things, and having the skin cracked and red sucks. This soap is gentler than the other soap I had.And finally, my favorite reason: This soap smells delicious. It’s like a sweet almond butter. I find it to be exquisite. It’s a great value too. You don’t need much. And it looks great in a flamingo dispenser.Go get some today!

Just be careful when opening the box
Be careful when opening because I ordered the pink soap and it was spilled in the box. It is easy to use. The price was affordable. The quality is great. It cleans pretty good. The size is great will last you awhile. And also the boxes are beaten up.

Does The Job and Then Some!
I’m an off and on hobbyist, usually using acrylics to customize figures, dolls, and doll accessories and miniatures. I have used a few other reputed brands of brush cleaners in the past and they’ve been adequate. But this stuff is something else! During my latest project, I was interrupted and then forgot to clean up. I had a brush with dried on black acrylic paint and I thought it was definitely ruined. I decided to test the cleaner and it actually saved the brush. I had to use some elbow grease and it took some time, but the paint actually scrubbed out. It even cleaned the plastic palette, which I was ready to toss since it was cheap. Bottom line: it WORKS. I’m sticking with this brand! And it’s a huge bottle at a great price. I’m glad I found it!Tip: If you happen to use acrylics and are washing dried paint off a brush, I recommend having a strainer in your sink or closing the drain while washing the brush: the dried acrylic paint was plasticky and might cause pipe troubles being washed down. It’s easy to scoop up and strain, though.

Works well
This works great to get any residual watercolor out of my brushes. Also use it to wash my mixing palettes. Reminds me of public bathroom soap in smell and color. Keeps my brushes like new! You get a good amount too. Been using it for a few months now and only made a slight dent in it.
