I needed an adaptor that fitted the main board on my 3D printer because it uses micro SD cards I was afraid of breaking the main board so this is a handy connection between the card and main board

Bought this to use on a Creality Ender 3 Pro as I wanted to not have to keep taking the micro SD out of the printer, put it in a standard SD card adaptor to use on the computer to transfer files, then take it out blah blah blah. It does work but with one cavate. When I put the adaptor into this unit my printer informs a card has been inserted but when you try to look at the contents nothing is listed at all. Unplug the adaptor extension from the micro SD slot on the printer and plug it back in and everything is suddenly there. Happens every time. Maybe it's my 3D printer but for whatever reason it means it's only marginally better than doing it the original way without the extension adaptor and not really the better way I'd hoped for.

I bought this product to use with my raspberry pi 2B as it uses microSD and I have far too many SD cards lying around.The plastic construction is cheap, but a solid construction isnt necessary for something like this so that is fine.I do sometimes have connection issues if I pull on it a bit, but I think that is more an issue with my RPI 2B than the product itself.It is worth noting, that this is not something one should use for everyday use (i.e. taking to work and back again), people looking for something like that should get one with a usb connection. If however your PC or laptop only has a micro SD connector but you want to use full size SD Cards, this should do you well.I say this isnt for taking to places only because of how fragile the ribbon cable looks. If you're willing to risk it (lets face it it isnt expensive at all) then you should be okay so long as you treat it with care.

I got this for ender 3 but when sd card is removed and re inserted, it is not recognised. it only works if I remove the sd card reader and insert it again which defeats the purpose.

Waste of time. While the sd card end of the ribbon cable looks correct, the actual shape is veers slightly too small which causes the sd card end to no lock in place when you insert it into a connector.If I hadn't thrown the packaging away I'd be returning this. Very disappointed that I wasted my money of this.

Perfect for protecting expensive devices where you change storage often. It is better to break this inexpensive extender than your equipment. Also works great as a SD to micro-SD adapter, great because fast SD cards are a little cheaper than fast micro-SD cards.

Queria un extensor de sd muy barato para la Raspberry Pi 4 y pille este, que en principio no funciona PERO que abriendolo y cortando la resistencia que lleva si funciona en la Pi 4. Eso si, a tomar viento la garantia pero por el precio vale la pena el riesgo. Por lo demas esta en uso diariamente y cambiando las sd de modo habitual y no ha dado ningun problema.

Wozu braucht man so ein Gerät?Wenn man einen Computer oder eine andere Maschine nutzt, die einen SD-Kartenleser an einer sehr schwer zugänglichen Stelle hat! ODER Wenn Man lieber mit großen SD-Karten statt Micro-SD-Karten arbeitet.Ich benutze diese Verlängerung an meinem 3D-Drucker, bei dem es sehr schwierig ist, an den SD-Schacht zu kommen. Es nervt mich auch sehr, mit Micro-SDs zu arbeiten, wenn man diese oft wechseln muß.Bei einem Smartphone macht Micro-SD ja Sinn, aber bei anderen Anwendungen nicht so sehr.An meinem Drucker habe ich die Verlängerung mit dem beigelegten guten doppelseitigen Band an die Vorderseite geklebt und kann ganz easy die Speicherkarten tauschen und kann ausserdem Micro-SDs (im Adapter) und normalgrosse SDs nutzen, was viel weniger fummelig ist.

En fonctionnement avec Ender3Pro sous Marlin2.0 et cela fonctionne très bien. Pour ceux qui se demandent pour SD non reconnu. Il suffit d'aller dans le menu et faire "change média" (sous Marlin en tout cas) et voilà a chaque fois qu'on retire et remet sa SD.Ravi de cette acquisition pour ma part. Fini la galère des micro sd.
