New Balance Men's 990v5

I've been wearing and these shoes and doing a lot of walking in them for several months now and in spite of the 3 star rating, am very pleased with them. They are wearing well, are very comfortable, and don't make you feet too warm. My only complaint with them - and for some of us it is serious - is the lack of a tab on the heel to help the wearer pull the shoes on their feet. If you are younger and don't have issues with bending, balance, and/or arthritis in your hands the absence of a pull tab won't be an issue. But if you are an older person who has those problems, you may find these shoes difficult to use, the durability ultimate comfort notwithstanding. Could very well be a deal killer for me when it comes time to replace them. At this price, I expect more.

After about 6 months of regular use my heel pain finally faded...Pricey but if you have planar faciitis and are too self conscious of ugly orthopedics these may help with your pain

Acceptable replacement for my Toro recycler mower.

This is my newest pair of 990. I've been wearing them for several years. I can wear women's 8 wide or a men's 7.I feel like I am among the very few who never complain of pain from working day after day on a retail floor. These shoes provide excellent support and stability in all activities.This is how you take care of your feet.

Bought two pairs of these shoes because of the great reviews. The local New Balance store was shut down during the Pandemic and I could not go down for a fitting so I ordered these online. When I received them they were a little tight but have since loosened up and fit very well. I am 70 years old and my days of running are behind me but I do walk my dogs a few miles each day. They are not as comfortable as I had thought they would be. The only thing that remains to be seen is their durability which will probably be good as they appear to be well put together of very good materials.

My husband LOVES his new red New Balance 990v5's. He says they are extremely comfortable and give his feet the support he was looking for in a new pair of sneakers. The color is very stylish. Every day he looks for a red shirt or one of his sweaters with touches of red in it so that he is totally coordinated. He looks good and more importantly his feet feel great! These were expensive by he does love them, so that made it worth it.

The last couple rounds of 990s weren't that great, but hopefully with the v5s they are back on track to be the best shoe for support, comfort, fashion and durability.
