BoatBuckle Stainless Steel Kwik-Lok Transom Tie-Down

Excellent quality, very strong hardware. They cost about twice as much as the painted and rubberized versions, but where I live (near the ocean), those painted buckles get rusty and nasty and stiff to operate in about a year. Plus, on the cheapies the plastic coating on the hooks always comes off, due to abrasion and normal use. If this is good quality stainless hardware -- and it appears to be -- I won't be buying a new pair of tie-downs annually, so the extra cost is worth it.

Good description for the item on amazon. That made it easy to purchase and get the proper ones for my boat. SS is perfect for our salty weather here in lower Alabama.

These are well made however the hook has a very shallow bend. Sometimes a boat will settle in whell in transit allowing the strap to fall off without notice losing the strap along the way.

Seem to be well made. No problems so far. No rust. Just be careful when you loosen them. If you put them too light and your hand is in the way when you loosen, you will get pretty bruised. So far they seem deserving of the full 5 stars.

Got these to replace my old black painted ones that got rusted over a short amount of time. These will not rust and are very easy to use compared to the ratchet style that many people have. These you just flip the lever down and it stays rock solid. Great design!

Great product. Heavy duty material, and works well. No more "hang ups" at the boat launch as the Kwik-Lok releases in a second. I would definitely recommend this product to any serious boat owner who launches and recovers regularly. Stainless steel is a real plus as I use the boat mostly in salt water. Also, Amazon prime 2 day shipping was excellent...Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase..
