Rocky Mountain Radar Bugling Bull Matriarch elk Call

Makes me want to cut the ends off a plastic bat for $2.99 at the dollar store. But then I wouldn’t look like a real elk slayer with a powder blue bat tucked in the side of my pack.

I have used several grunt tubes in the past and actually still use them. They all have a purpose. However, I wanted one with the bigger end as they give a more realistic and thunderous sound. Last September during early season in Colorado the bulls were not doing much. However, with this bugle and a diaphragm mouth call I was able to get some responses. I was working a nice bull that I estimated must have been 600 yards away. We went back and forth for over an hour. I know we were within 200 yards of each other for a while when a bigger bull was spotted raking his horns. Our calling back and forth did not interest this bull but being how realistic it was he kept raking. About 15 minutes later, the raking bull just happened to cross my path and I arrowed him at 30 yards with my 47# Bob Lee recurve. He piled up within 90 yards. A nice 5 X 6 bull. I highly recommend this tube for its authentic sounds. I did add my own parachute cord to carry on my side and flip to my back when not in use. Easy to carry and although fairly large it is no problem carrying. I use a homemade strap on side quiver on my right and bugle tube on left.

Purchased for my husband after the loss of his dearly beloved 'other' grunt tube. After many serenades inside the house since its arrival, (The dogs *loved it!), he says this is -by far- thee best grunt tube he's ever used, and he cannot wait to use it for reals. It has the ability to make *those* sounds. You know, the ones only the elk can make and hunters dream of? Those. This is a keeper. Fantastic product!
