A bit fiddly, especially if you have short cables to front plate. Able to fit front plate securely, hopefully will continue to hold after repeated use

Didn’t like that fitting comes with 4mm screws, electrical sockets come with 3.5mm…this may limit you if required different length.

Would be much better if it accepted a standard 3.5mm screw, no use if you have decorative sockets and want to use the colour matched screw

The idea is pretty great. I'm forever having to battle these socket boxes with naff screws in an older house and had hoped these would do the trick. To be fair these have saved me more often than other similar products.The biggest downside, in the design anyway, is that expanding the bolts in place with the spanner provided was pretty difficult. The included spanner is crap but I suspect even with a better one it'd be hard to adjust that close to the edge of the box. I found the best way was to extend to be slightly longer than height of box, then insert at slight angle. Then with some force adjust upright into position which by nature of the bolts being extended holds pretty well.However, the ones I received we're pretty poorly machined. The threading on intended to receive the bolts that extend to fill the box or the bolts themselves, were damaged or perhaps corroded making adjustment hard or even impossible in some cases. I'd say at least half the pack I received were damaged in this way. The difference between the few that were in a good state and turned easily was stark.I'm hoping I'll be able to salvage some more of them, but they should be usable straight from the pack!It's a shame though, with a little better QA and some clever innovations on how to expand in position this could be a great little product.
