Nexxus Emergencee Pre: Reconstructing Treatment - 2.7 oz - 4 ct

I love this product! I have used this product for over 20 years..It was never inexpensive but now the price isOFF THE CHART !! I am searching for an alternative product now. 🙁

Ridiculous to pay $142 for 4 tubes

I am African American with fine and healthy hair and have found that Nexxus products work well with my hair texture. I perm my hair every four/five months (twice a year). The first two/three months after a perm, my hair gets treated by my stylist (every other weekend). On my off weeks, I use Nexxus products to maintain it. I give my stylist a break and handle my hair on my own (my choice) after the two/three months. I do so because this is when my new growth comes in so instead of adding perm to my already fine hair, I treat it with Nexxus products to increase strength and growth. I wash my hair once a week and the night before, I mix castor oil and coconut oil and deep condition overnight (put a plastic cap on and go to sleep). The next day, I use my Nexxus products. The Emergencee gives my hair strength and prevents any breakage. I wash with the shampoo, use the treatment, then the conditioner; after which I go under the dryer for a about 20-30 minutes. Then I rinse it out, my hair is easy to comb through and it is extremely soft. I tend to roller set or do a natural dry (depending on what I do with the hair). I top this off with a little moisturizer and the Leave-in Humectress which keeps the moisture locked in. Nexxus does work; my stylist and others have given me compliments on maintaining my hair when I am away from the professionals. I do not use heated products (curling irons) except by my stylist and my hair is growing. I also use the Humectress products and switch them out. They work for me. The objective as African Americans is to keep moisture in the hair. Again my hair is fine (and healthy) so this is what works best for me. TRUE CONFESSIONS...

I very seldom write reviews, but since I'm always appreciative of others who take the time to recommend high quality products, I thought I would do the same this time. I've been using the Nexxus Emergencee Reconstructor system for several months now because my hair was thinning, breaking, dry, you name it. I have coarse, relaxed hair, so I've always struggled to keep it reasonably healthy and healthy looking despite the chemical processing. This product has completely changed the way my hair looks and feels. I LOVE it! My hair is soft, manageable, and a lot shinier than before. I still have some breakage, but not as much as before I began using the reconstructor system, and I'm hopeful that I'll be able to minimize the breakage even more with time and continued use of this system. I use the products EXACTLY as recommended: 1) Wash with Emergencee Rebalancing Shampoo, 2) Apply Emergencee Reconstructing Treatment, 3) Wash with Emergencee Rebalancing Shampoo AGAIN, 4) Condition with Emergencee Rebalancing Conditioner. It takes a few minutes because you need to leave the reconstructor on for 5 minutes, and the condition for 3, but it's worth the time and effort. For me, it has been more than worth it. Some people who don't follow the directions exactly may still gain good results, but I've tried other reconstructors in the past, and I know you need to be careful with them. Don't use more than is recommended or you could actually create more problems than you correct. Use this system only once per weeks as recommended, and be sure to wash and rinse according to the directions as well. It's just better to be safe than sorry in this case. In short, this is a FANTASTIC product. It really worked and continues to work wonders for me!

These bottles are TEENIE TINY just so you know. I failed to read the ounces so its my own fault. I have to say though that I am not impressed at all. It feels like you are putting oil on your hair, at least that was the consistency of mine. Afterwards I noticed NOTHING special, in fact I get much better results out of my bed head conditioner. Not impressed!

This products absolutely amazing! I have baby fine, brittle hair, and in the winter, it's really bad because of such dry air, and we burn wood here too. I use this product after shampoo and conditioning, and it has very much slowed down, if not stopped, the breakage and hair loss. When I rinse my hair, I can tell, even before it's dry, the smooth silky feeling. This beats straw-hair any day! I had heard this product was being discontinued, and immediately went online to find all I could. I see that, at least for now, it is available again. I really, really hope this product remains available. I saw a while back that someone had one box of 5 containers for $90! No, I didn't buy it, but I thought about it. I love this product so much, I wrote the company (Nexxus) and explained in detail how much this product means to me, along with before and after pictures. I seriously LOVE this product!!Edited to add, $149, are you serious??

This is my favorite protein treatment. I've used the Aphogee 2-step treatment that everyone raves about - but it was just SO DARN INCONVENIENT. It was difficult, time-consuming, and it got all over everything. The Nexxus treatment, in contrast, is so easy to use!! Only 5 minutes in the shower. And for me, it seems the do the trick just as well.It makes my hair noticeably shinier and smoother. My hair has been extensively color-treated and bleached, so it needs a lot of extra help. However, I will say that the last time I saw my stylist, she said my hair didn't look damaged at all! Largely due to this reconstructing treatment, I would guess.The instructions say to use it once a week - but I only wash my hair every 4 days, so I use it less frequently.
