Which Lavazza coffee is best for purcolator?

Great question. I use a purcolator every day using Lavazza Top Class Filtro coffee and every cup poured is delicious. I used to buy the 8oz bags of grounded coffee but it was too expensive so I switched to the 2lb bag of whole bean. I have also tried other Lavazza brands and they all brewed up nicely too. It's really about taste. LTCF is smooother than most expresso brands but no matter what Lavazza coffee you use in your purcolator or how messy the clean up may be, you still get a darn good cup o joe. Perk Away!

Will the Top Class work well in a Bialetti perculator?

Logically if the top glass is tempered and is used on other percolators it should work on a Bialetti. The answer would be in trying it.

Assuming you use 7 grams of ground espresso coffee for each shot of espresso then a 2.2 lb bag would make about 142 shots of espresso. I use 14 grams per shot, so I would only get 71 shots from the 2.2 lb bag.
