Kanthal A-1 is a ferritic iron-chromium-aluminium ALLOY (FeCrAl ALLOY) rated for use at temperatures up to 1400°C (2550°F). The ALLOY has high resistivity and great oxidation resistance. It is typically used in furnace applications, such as electrical heating elements in high-temperature furnaces for heat treatment, glass, steel, ceramics, and electronics industries. Made in the USA.

perfect for claptons
I ordered this small diameter wire to make Clapton coils on a vaporizer. So far this seems to be the perfect medium between enough surface area to ramp up time ratio I have found. It doesn't snap like the 40+ gauge wire and comes clean and neat on a tightly wrapped spool. If I had to order again I would probably go with nichrome as it heats easier than kanthal but this works perfectly for my needs and gives off amazing flavor. Another thing about the 32g wire is the capillary space between the wraps doesn't get clogged up with coil gunk nearly as fast as the higher gauge wire does and also doesn't take as long to Clapton. This worked perfectly for my needs and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Great quality wire
This item came exactly as described! I've been ordering kanthal wire for a while and this is by far the cheapest there is. The quality is unbeatable as well. 500 feet for under 12 dollars, you'll be hard pressed to find such a value deal from any other seller.The shipping is also noteworthy. They shipped within a day and it arrived as scheduled by the amazon prime 2-day shipping.It came nicely spooled and it's pretty securely spooled. I can't wait to start making my vape coils with this. Great A1 Kanthal. First time trying claptons and i got it pretty easy. Little learning curve but this stuff wraps very well. Combined with a 26g core this makes for an excellent sub 50w single or double coil, No problems with a fused clapton either. May try some 34g for fused though.

Best deal around
The wire I purchase from Temco is always in excellent condition and arrives quickly. I have never had an issue with product or shipping. The prices can not be beat and neither can the quality.

Perfect for outer wraps of clapton coils
My favorite outer wrap for clapton coils. I use Temco's 26 gauge kanthal for my cores and use the 32 gauge to make the heat dispersion component.
