Hand Crank Blacksmith Forge Blower, Manual

This crank was the crank I was looking for. With ghis device, I will change the world. My sons will join me in my crusade to remake reality...and this hand crank blower is the final key. The Gods smile upon my efforts, and this gives my followers Hope. There will be a great crying out...in paroxysmal joy. The blower has arrived!

pro: arrived in a timely mannercon: it looks used and it is in poor condition. it also has been stripped and repainted with low grade spray paint. the paint was still wet when i took it out of the box. the gears took a while to get unstuck. it spins fine now but i feel like im putting more effort into it than i should have to.

I've been using if for a few weeks now. I lube it every so often with Lucas air tool oil and its held up good. The casing did split a little when I dropped it putting it on my forge.

Product worked properly but broke after a light to moderate amount of use. I don't feel that for the price it lasted as long as it should have. It was not bad as far as the way it functioned but somewhat cheaply made.

Updated Review. Works great for our backyard forge. Takes a little energy to crank, but keeps the kids busy. Oct 25, 2017 Updated review: This worked fine the first two times we used it. The third time we used it have way through the project it broke. The handle turns, but wobbles, and the fan wheel just barely moves. It does not move any air now. To bad, cause it was fun to use. Need to buy a new blower, want it to be hand cranked to keep the kids busy, but not sure I want to buy another one of these. Anyone have any suggestions? I emailed the seller, no response, and it is well past Amazon's return window, so I guess I am stuck with it. Might take it apart, and post some pictures of the gearbox. I did like it while it worked, but only three uses, and no response from the seller makes me want to buy something better.

The product arrived without a handle so I do not know if it works well or not! Very disappointed, bought this for my son's 30th birthday in 4 days and I want to give him a blower that he can use. The company subsequently responded promptly and corrected the problem so I changed my rating to a 5 star.

Great for my black smithing

As a beginner trying to acquire the necessary equipment needed, I saw this and I was quite exited because I had heard amazing things about champion and other older hand crank blowers. When I was finally able to use it I was not impressed. At some points you need to crank it about 2 times harder because of some resistance, it also produces a loud squeak every rotation. For other beginners or anyone thinking of purchasing this item, do not, trust me it works but with problems and it is $70. If this was $10 or $20 I would have a better opinion of this. For $70 you could buy a $10 hair dryer (which is what I am using now and it works much better) and parts to build a forge. Though as it stands, 2 stars mostly due to the price.
