Love this sewing machine!
I had a Singer sewing machine that was more than 40 years old. Still working but realized I needed an upgrade. Finally decided to go for a new model, and thank goodness I did. Love this machine, super easy to use, the stitches look so professional, super light compared to the 20 lb old Singer, I can carry it with one hand! LED light, features are very similar to my old one, except for a couple of things, but there are plenty of videos to help and I can download the manual online. By the way, I'm NOT a seamstress, so I have to buy something that was very easy to use, and this sewing machine didn't disappoint. Great quality.

5 Stars – Perfect Gift for My Wife!
I bought the Singer M1500 for my wife, and she absolutely loves it! The machine is super easy to use, even for beginners, and it has all the essential features she needs for her sewing projects. The stitch quality is excellent, and it runs smoothly, making her sewing experience so much more enjoyable. The design is compact but sturdy, and it doesn’t take up much space, which is a bonus in our home. She’s already made several beautiful items with it, and the versatility of this machine is fantastic. It’s a great value for the price, and I’m so glad I got it for her. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable, user-friendly sewing machine!

Easy to Carry & Works Great
This machine works very well as advertised. The weight of the machine is much lighter than the old style Singer it replaced. The light weight presents a small issue that is easily remedied. Due to its light weight, it slides easily on what ever surface it is placed on, which makes operator control difficult. The surface of the table I was using is a fiberglass folding table. The six plastic/hard clear material the foot pads don't control the sliding too well. EASY FIX though is applying stick on soft rubber pads on each of the feet under the machine. That solved the issue in minutes. At this price, it is a fantastic home sewing machine for above average use. I have recommended it to both family and friends that sew.

Not for a beginner
Before you even touch anything on this machine after unboxing it, go to Singer.com and watch the tutorial on how to operate it! When I opened the bottom to thread it the metal ring with clips that holds the parts in so you can safely remove the bobbin holder was not clipped in and the entire piece fell out. Luckily they have a great short video on how to thread and operate all the functions on it and I was able to put it back together correctly. Having said that, while I'm not a pro seamstress, I do know how to operate a sewing machine and I can tell you that a beginner would not be able to just set this up and sew without watching the tutorial. You're definitely going to have to put forth an effort to learn how to thread it and all of it's functions if you're not familiar with a sewing machine because the instructions are confusing and not very helpful even for someone with experience. It jams very easily as well. It is definitely light weight though and the foot pedal is a dream come true. I'm happy with it for the price.

Solid basic sewing machine!
I love this sewing machine. I bought this for my 7 yo granddaughter’s birthday and we’re learning to use it together. She’s having a great time making beds, blankets and pillows for her stuffies.

The Bobbin Continually is a PROBLEM. Good for batting practice though.
I've had the same Singer since 1985. It was easy to use and very reliable. Then it broke and was not worth repairing. I've had this new machine for four months, and I am so done with it!! It freezes up and I end up with multiple threads coming out of it, or all kinds of loops of thread inside the bobbin case. I took it in to a Joann store. They didn't have a repair person there but two separate people told me the case must be wobbly. I used a screw driver to tighten the screws. They were a little loose. But, no, the problem still exists. So frustrating because I have several pieces I need to work on right now, and I've got to find a repairman. Don't buy this machine.

A simple, durable, quality machine
You can’t go wrong with a Singer! I’m not a great seamstress, but for my needs, this easy-to-use machine fits the bill. I’ve had previous Singer machines, even an antique treadle, that never wore out. I actually worked for Singer corporate offices in CA in the late 70s… they make a great product line. This machine is simple to use, very smooth running, durable, and more quiet than any I’ve owned.
