ZilactinCold Sore Gel, Medicated Gel 0.25 oz ( Pack of 3)

Maybe it's just me but Abreva has never worked very well. This stuff does a great job. If I'm able to start using it at the first tingle, the cold sores rarely appear. If I can't get to it right away, it still does a good job of lessoning the time.

This stuff is powerful. I’ve used Abrevs and let me tell you this Zilactin works differently. This one’s very strong, it stings a little, and dries out the skin very quickly. Apply it when the skin is dry. It works for me. Give it a try. It does seem to arrest the development of the cold sore. Or herpes if you like to call it that.

Better than Abreva. I'm one of those oddballs that has a reaction to the other brand with swelling. This works like a charm for me on the rare occasion I have a cold sore occur. At the first sign I can apply this, and within 2 to 3 days there is rarely any sign.

I'm not sure what makes this gel work so well on sores, but it definitely works. I've used this product for years, and it took me a while to find it online as it's no longer carried by local drug stores. As soon as I feel the onset of a sore coming on, I put a dab on to cover it. It burns/stings like crazy at first and then numbs the area. It creates a coating that prevents accidental rubbing/touching by teeth or tongue and hence relieves the pain of such contact. The coating usually lasts most of the day for me. I'll recoat after brushing my teeth at night or after breakfast. Within a couple of days, the sore is usually gone. A tube can last me several years.

I would get 3 or 4 major fever blisters every year until I discovered Zilactin over 5 years ago. At the instant I feel tingling I use this. I have not had a blister since except one time I didn’t have zipactin with me and while it was very tiny blister starting in the corner of my mouth I put zilactin on and it stopped and disappeared in 36 hours. This is much cheaper than other brands and the only one that has worked! Seriously try this!!! One note: it stings pretty good but to me well worth it!

I can’t find this product at drug stores anymore. I’ve had cold sores around my mouth for years. I finally found Zilactin online and am very happy with this. Saves me from going to my primary care doc to get rX for anti-viral Ned.

I was very happy to find this on amazon. ( discontinued in stores) This is the only one that you can put inside (for canker sore) your mouth. For the single price in store you get 3 here. Life saver thanks.

Works great for cold sores. So much better than Abreva and cheaper too. Zilactin creates a barrier over the sore protecting it, like a shield from getting bigger and worse. Almost like it smothers it. Shortens the life of cold sore. My mom and sister have also switched to this as well and have great results. The only thing we have found to work so well. Thanks!
