Five stars for doing what it was meant to do
Don't get me wrong when I say 5 stars. It is not 5 star tasting, but 5 stars for ease and not being awful. It's passable in an emergency. I dare say after a day or two of cereal or oatmeal we would welcome it as a change. It was easy to prepare. I made sure to use boiling water, not just hot water and exactly 8 ounces. IMO, it was too much water. I would reduce the water an ounce. I will definitely buy more for my emergency prep pantry.

Good stuff
Good stuff when camping. Just be sure to let it soak in the water for the recommended time. Maybe even a minute or two longer.

Use half the recommended water.
Another reviewer adds extra water. I find that the instructions use way, way too much water. Even with an insulated overpouch and extra time, mine comes out as chunks of egg foam floating in water. The bacon bits all sink to the bottom. That's with 80% of tje suggested water. (Elevation 600 feet ASL)That said, it's ok enough when one runs out of Breakfast Skillet.

So good
I love these and taste great. We take them camping and add to the hurricane season box.

Easy to prepare and convenient, but the flavor and texture leave a lot to be desired.
I love breakfast foods and I recently got into backpacking. I was really hoping this would be good, but I have to say I was pretty disappointed with it. Worth it for some people for particular situations, but it wouldn't be my first choice for a meal if I want food to enjoy.Pros: Easy to prepare, convenient, super long shelf-life, big portion.Cons: Texture is very strange... the eggs end up having this weirdly bouncy rubbery texture that made it hard to enjoy. Flavor-wise, I don't know if there is extra smoke-flavor added to this, or something was done to the bacon bits to really emphasize the flavor, but the artificial smoke bacon flavor was overwhelming to me, and pretty unpalatable.

A little more water and a wee more time
Perfect for me senior senior with extreme stomach and allergy issues I always dump the pack and remove the bacon bits

It is really pretty good.
It is pretty good stuff. follow the directions. drain of any excess liquid and throw it on a tortilla with cheese and salsa and it's fantastic! the shelf life is a total plus!
