Delicious!!!
These are fabulous! Also, they ARE anchovies, but folks are getting them confused with the salted anchovy fillets that are used on caesar salads and pizzas. Some reviewers have commented that these are sardines - they do look like tinned sardines, but sardines are much larger. These anchovies are packed in water and are wonderful on top of a salad or in a sandwich. High in protein too! Yum!

Pleasantly Surprised by the Flavor and Size!
I recently tried Wild Planet White Anchovies and was pleasantly surprised by both their size and taste.**Size and Appearance:**When I first opened the can, I was surprised to find that these anchovies are sardine-sized. I was expecting the smaller, more traditional anchovy size, but the larger size actually made them more versatile in my cooking. Excellent for sardine sandwiches!**Taste and Texture:**The flavor is where these anchovies really shine. They have a lighter, milder taste compared to regular sardines, making them a great option for those who might find sardines too strong. The texture is firm yet tender, and they are packed in olive oil, which adds a nice richness without overpowering their natural flavor.**Versatility:**I've used them in salads, pasta dishes, and even on toast. Their lighter flavor means they blend well with other ingredients without being too dominant. They’ve added a delightful umami boost to everything I’ve tried them in.**Packaging:**The can is easy to open. The oil they are packed in is also of good quality, adding to the overall taste experience.**Overall:**I highly recommend Wild Planet White Anchovies for anyone looking to try a milder, more versatile fish. The unexpected size was a surprise, but their delicious, lighter flavor more than makes up for it. I will definitely be buying these again!

Tastes exactly like sardines.
If you are looking for the same anchovies that are served in Caeser salads at nice restaurants this is not the product you are looking for. These are sardines and taste exactly like sardines. If you are looking for a sardine these are great, but if you are looking for an "anchovie" flavor you will be disapointed.

Very good, very good for you, worth a try
I feel compelled to review these because I think they require an explanation.First, these are nothing like what we usually think of as anchovies. The usual canned/jarred anchovies are used as a flavoring to add umami to a dish. These are not for flavoring but for eating. The flavor is mild and very nice. The look a bit like headless sardines but i like the flavor of these better.Second, these are nothing like Spanish white anchovies (Boquerones) either. I *love* those, but these are not pickled like those, nor are they flexible fillets. These are closer to canned sardines, but with a milder flavor than sardines.I use them in sandwiches with red onion or sweet onion, lettuce and a touch of mayonnaise. They work in salad too.

More like li'l' sardines
There are organic and absolutely delish! NOTE: these are nothing like the little bony semi-dried Italian anchovies like you'd put on pizza or use to make bagna cauda. Great on grainy European flat breads w/Dijon mustard.

More nutritious and tastier
These fresh anchovies are more nutritious and tastier than sardines (less slimy too). Can only give 5 stars, reordering.

these are not anchovies that you would use in ceaser salad or receipes
these are grate sardines but they are not anchovies . anchovies are tiny little fishes packed in tins with lots of salt .the description as anchovies is deceptivenow i have 12 tins that i can't use for receipes ! fortunately i like sardines for lunch.

These are great!
I purchased these to see what they were. They're like sardines but with a better flavor, and are larger than canned sardines. I like them.
