Great candle! The smell is strong but not overwhelming. A beautiful mix of sweet, floral, and musk. A lovely home scent year round!

I love the idea of a travel tin for a candle! I usually bring a small votive candle with me when I travel to relax in the evenings. This is perfect for that and much easier to carry and protect with the lid.The fragrance is very pretty and (thankfully) not overpowering with patchouli. It has a little bit of a musk but is distinctly feminine but not in an overpowering sort of way. It's really hard to describe but I really like it. I am not generally a fan of overly floral candles either and this one is a great balance.I did have to knock this a star for a couple of reasons. While the quality is fantastic, it is very small for the price point. Also, the description is pretty misleading with the pictures and also the claim that this will last 45 hours. I haven't tested out the actual burn time entirely but there is absolutely no way that a 2 wick 2.5 oz candle will last 45 hours. I would estimate the burn time as half that or even less.

While I was admittedly disappointed in the smaller size of this candle, I couldn’t deny the incredibly lovely scent and unique design. It looks quality and the scent is strong and lovely. Any book lover would thoroughly appreciate this. The container could be fun to re-use once the wax is gone.The candle burned cleanly and evenly for me. It lasted just about as long as I expected for a smaller candle.This isn’t the best value when considering size of the candle, but this is truly a lovely gift-quality candle and is worth the price for a special gift or occasion.

This candle smells nice and is in a very unique tin. I was somewhat confused by the listing and thought this was a jar candle that came in a decorative tin.It’s not, it’s a small candle poured into a small tin with two wicks. I wasn’t sure what a travel tin candle was, but now I do. It’s probably 3-1/2” to 4” long and about 1-1/2” wide and tall. It’s soy so it probably has a pretty decent burn time and it will burn clean. It is a good scent for book reading since it literature inspired. Neat small gift for a book lover.

This listing is super confusing. Nowhere in the photos does it show the tin being the actual candle. It shows a jar candle next to a tin. So I assumed you got the jar and the tin came with it. This isn’t the case. You just get the tin. It’s very small. It will not burn long. The idea behind it is fun, it smells pretty but it costs a lot for what you’re actually getting.In the listing there’s also 2 different descriptions. First they say the tin is filled. This Paddywax Library Charlotte Bronte candle comes in a cute tin with embossed stamp and antique style label. The smell is unique - the label says rosewood, peony, and patchouli - I smell rosewood, leather, and herbal floral. I like the candle but probably wouldn't pay $14.80 for it, as it's only 2.5 ounces, unless it were for a huge Charlotte Bronte fan or other very specialized receiver.

really a big fan of the scent on this - it fills up the room quickly once lit and it's not at all overpowering. it's a bit inconvenient to light with a typical BIC lighter because of the tin, and the wick placement causes it to burn pretty unevenly (I'm already noticing the middle section is just not melting like the rest of the wax).this is a nice statement piece of a candle I suppose, but for practicality I don't think I'd recommend it. the concept is nice, but I think the tin is really dragging this down.

I'm not sure how many people actually use travel candles but this does smell very nice. It is packaged in a cute tin and would make a nice addition to a gift basket or if you would like to gift it with a book. Not terribly expensive at under $15 but to me it is small for that price.
