VGI Official Our Lady of Mount Carmel Brown Scapular - 100% Wool!

The scapular I received (twice now because I thought I received the wrong item the first time), is NOT like the one pictured & described for this item. Firstly, the "wool" is felt. This is scratchy. Secondly, the "wool" does not extend beyond the cloth scapular piece; there is no brown border of wool. Thirdly, the cord is NOT connected to the scapular as shown in the picture. The cords on the item I received connect at the center of the scapular pieces, ensuring that the scapular twists & turns under your clothing. Also, the cord is not braided, as pictured but instead is a flat, ribbon-like cord. It is not very substantial & will not last. Lastly, it did NOT come with the enrollment papers. It was just the scapular wound up & wrapped in plastic. I am very disappointed, as this was a Christmas gift. I will be returning both of them & not ordering from this buyer again.

The description states cord is 21" when in fact it is not. The cord itself is 18". If measured from the bottom of the scapular to the other end it might be 21" but that is not the cord. I am 6' and my current scapular has a 19" cord and constantly moves every which way and I'm always having to adjust it. I was looking for something longer and this was definitely not it.

I love the quality ,but I wish you put the old quote, "BEHOLD THE SIGN OF SALVATION PUT ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST." What you have is the promise of wearing this scapular/you will not suffer the fires of hell, yeah, but its not magic, you have to still live it and believe in it. Putting on the lord Jesus Christ, is very instructional. The liberals of the church love what you have written, but its misleading to say the least, but its not just you its seems to be all the industry have the same reading. I will give these to my young friends, but will explain the truth.

I have a great devotion to Our Lady, The Blessed Mother, and I wear the brown scapular for this reason, but the reason I love this scapular so much is because it is so light and comfortable on my neck, there is no plastic covering both sides of the scapular which could irritate the skin

This scapular is very well made and will last for quite a while. It is longer than many other scapulars which is good. The shorter scapulars always end up shifting and showing at either the front or the back of your neckline. This scapular hangs well and I haven't had that problem with this scapular.

This is not a great scapular, though it is better than the plastic covered ones. It is not going to last the distance because it is too thin. I am going to use it on my Virgin Mary statue rather than wear it.

I must have been poorly sewn, for the one I ordered lost a cord after about a month's wearing. I did wash it three times, but I've never had a scapular fall apart so easily. It's too bad, it was a nice length and comfortable to wear. Perhaps mine was simply defective.
