Needed a lock box that I could open remotely in case something is wrong with my electronic door lock and this one fills my requirements. Once I read the manual I discovered I have a few options to open the box for rental guests that need a key to get into my beach rental condo. First I have 1 time codes that I can text to the guest and they can open with those. Second I can send them a bluetooth code if they choose to install the app. Third and most important I purchased the PopLife gateway and can open it via internet while a guest is standing outside my condo. Now word of warning, the gateway module needs to be fairly close to the box in order to communicate with it. I actually mounted it inside the wall right right behind the box on the outside wall. Was able to get power from the light switch and then the gateway communicates with the wifi inside the condo.Product works great and the unit was the only one I could find that I could open from anywhere that I am. Very happy with it so far.

Great lockbox! Very secure and easy to use. I love the fact that I can use temporary codes for one time uses. And downloading the app is perfect. I can open the lockbox just by holding my phone near it. Do not have to enter a code. So cool!!

I have two of these key lock boxes. This one died after six months. The faceplate died and I replaced the batteries even those the power level reading in the Populife app said it was at 83% power left. The faceplate worked once and died again. I checked the batteries and they were overheated and too hot to handle. Once I got them out I tried another batch of batteries and the same thing happened. I'm concerned that this defect poses a fire hazard. I have emailed Populife directly twice, they are in China, and I have yet to receive a response. The box is now an expensive paperweight. It is a great box when it works but be careful. The second box is 4 months old and so far no problems.

I have to say, I’m kind of disappointed. I never received a special screwdriver with my lockbox. I had to go buy one in order to put the battery cover on.Next huge disappointment was, when I left and I tried to set up customized code. This lockbox won’t let you do much, unless you are near by. If you go for example to a different state, you won’t even be able to check what is the lock time to set up correct time sensitive code. If I click in settings on lock time, all I get is make sure you are near by the lockbox. The same applies to a lot of other features on this lockbox.NOT A GOOD Lockbox if you are far away

Yes Bluetooth so easy to program with your smart phone, I used iPhone. And maybe not easy but once you figure it out easy enough. The biggest problem is it would be great to have it connected to WiFi so I could remotely change codes from another location. Unfortunately it does not have wi-fi capabilities and you have to add a wi-fi gateway which means more gadget to install rather then all in one. The space to store keys and/or garage door opener is quite sufficient unless your garage door opener is huge. I returned the item as I was looking for a wifi enabled lock box.

I dislike that it only has hours no minutes, it’s in military time, it’s hard to program it takes for ever to program a pin for time limited code, you have to be near the device to set and then to validate the passcode you have to try it within 24 hours of setting

Really love that I can pre-program this lockbox to match the phone number of our guests so they have nothing to remember when they arrive. I can program the box months in advance as the guests make reservations. You can program it to match the window of their stay down to the minute. The one downside is that it is not connected to the internet "yet". I am certain that the next generation will be and that I will be able to change/add/delete codes from the comfort of my own couch.
