Good bye touching the bin lid

Purchased this after my Dihl sensor bin 68l lid stopped working after 11 months use.This is slightly shorter and wider than Dihl.So putting rubbish in is easier. The mechanism is concealed unlike the Dihl, so less dirt is likely to get trapped in awkward places. I would suggest putting a cello tape over the battery compartment to avoid dirt going in, and makes cleaning easier. It takes D cell Duracell batteries which are more expensive, but hopefully you would not need to replace them often.Taking the bin out can be a struggle like all these bins, would advise not over filling or compacting.Only downside would be the clicking noise it makes when the lid closes. And wished they made a brushed steel or matte version, because the crome finish is harder to polish. And also wished they made the lid out of metal instead of plastic.Works well in our house, and easy and hygienic to use, especially when cooking, as you can just wave and put the rubbish in.So far so good after 5 months use, and hoping it would last longer than the Dihl.The price is very reasonable, and I would recommend to anyone.

Bent out of shape
Awful. Bent out of shape soon after purchase so the lid doesn’t fit on it.

Arrived well before expected.
Sadly although this bin looked good, I didn't actually get to use it.The bin arrived with an enormous dent on front, presumably done in transit! Returned it 2 weeks ago but no refund received yet! When the refund does eventually arrive, I definitely intend to order a replacement - good price - good looks.I have assumed the ratings based on previous experience of another similar bin which is no longer available to purchase and which "died". Having had an automatic bin for a few years, an ordinary bin is difficult to get used to.Have now received the refund, took just about 2 weeks - I have now ordered a replacement.

Batteries
The seller said it takes 4 x AA batteries, which I bought, it does not take these it takes 4x LR20, so wasted money buying the recommended batteries.
