this stuff works!
i have used a bunch of different leather products in the past that didn't give me the results i had hoped for and didn't have high expectations for cadillac select premium leather conditioner. i read the reviews, visited the website, read a few blog posts... and compared a bunch of different products before deciding. see, i bought - what seemed to be - a lightweight lambskin jacket off ebay. it arrived and i was horribly disappointed! first, it has a light finish to it and second, it was horribly dry! i honestly thought that i was going to just have to get rid of this jacket coz i wouldn't even be able to resell it in good conscience. it was so dry that i knew it would shred if worn - which was probably why i got it for a good price . i didn't really have anything to lose so i ordered this product. when the conditioner arrived i applied it, following the directions and later found out that i could use a bit more at each application. so far i have treated the jacket 3 times letting it dry in between applications. i may have to treat it a few more times but i can feel the difference and it actually looks more hydrated! it's drapey, more supple, the color is richer... it's weightier and smells more like leather! i am truly surprised! there was some color bleeding but that's because these's hardly any finish on the leather. i didn't rub or work the lotion into the leather, it just soaked it up. there isn't any film or stickiness, or residue after application, it isn't perfumed, or greasy. there's a faint, almost polish scent that fades after the lotion dries. if i was really on my game i'd remove the jacket lining and condition the underside of the leather also. what's in it? i don't know but it hasn't irritated my skin, doesn't make me sneeze, or my eyes water. i don't think there's any dimethicone or silicone in it. it seems like a really good quality conditioner. i am happy with the results so far and will order this again - i just hope the formula doesn't change!!!

rejuvinated my lambskin flight jacket
Until last week, 2023-08-23 (yyyy-mm-dd), I had never applied cleaners or conditioners to my lambskin "B-3 style" imitation flight jacket that I bought new on 2002-06-20. I had forgotten how dark, shiny, and moist the jacket had looked until I compared the pictures of the jacket when it arrived and when I started to apply Cadillac leather conditioner. My jacket had turned grayish and lost its gloss. Now, after using almost the entire bottle of lotion, my jacket looks and feels new. I was pleasantly surprised to receive unsolicited compliments from passersby.First I followed the instructions and used a soft cloth to apply the lotion sparingly. This removed some grime from the leather, like polishing dress shoes with a clean cloth might. Alas at this point the leather looked or felt hardly different from before I applied conditioner. So on the second day (after waiting in vain for the conditioner to take effect) I diagnosed the leather as being too dry, poured conditioner directly on the leather surface, and spread it and rubbed it in as if I were finger painting. Because I was not using a cloth to spread the lotion, all of the lotion was absorbed by the leather. The leather must have been thirsty after 21 years. It kept absorbing and absorbing lotion, some spots more than others, especially areas that experience abrasion, namely cuffs, collars, pocket entrances, and sides of the jacket (because I often put my hands in my pockets and the sleeves rub against the front and sides of the jacket). These areas needed 2 or 3 coats of lotion. I waited a day or two between coats, so that the lotion would penetrate the leather. Now my jacket looks darker, shinier, and feels cool to the touch because of its higher moisture content. Not sticky, tacky, wet, or smelly at all. The bottle of lotion is almost empty. I might finish it because I don't want the lotion to sit and age in my cupboard.I may have achieved identical results with "Pond's cold cream unscented", which is my mother's favorite solution for moisturizing skin, leather, and bare wood furniture. Leather is a kind of skin after all.I'm glad that for the cost of a dry cleaning I was able to take care of my favorite jacket.

Mine seemed legitimate
It was creamy, not too watery, much like typical leather cleaner I’ve bought in past. Not thrilled that the seal had come loose though. So far it seems fine.

Effective and affordable :)
I got this to condition my leather bags. It was a great price for the size of product. Item arrived in a timely manner. It looked exactly as advertised. I use a small microfiber cloth to buff in the conditioner into the leather. You don't need a lot of product to condition with. When finished, I set the bag on the side for about a day before I use it. I've had this bottle for years and there's still more than half left. I usually condition items if I notice deep scratches, if the leather looks dry (after washing the leather item and the soap has dried it out).
