Took down my daughter’s box braids and used this product to detangle prior to washing! The product is amazing. Detangled her hair with little hair loss. It also brought out beautiful curls. Made the whole washing process easier.

This product is for DETANGLING AND DEFINING THE HAIR BEFORE SHAMPOOING NOT MOISTURE.As a Jamaican/American someone who has used Aloe in my hair for years for hair growth, slip and moisture I can actually say that this is an amazing product. It has almost the same consistency as Aloe. Although it provides some great slip it is not as slippery and slimy as the Aloe leaf. Nonetheless, it still detangles and defines WITH PRODUCT BUILD UP ON YOUR STRANDS.I was so excited to come across this product because the only reason I needed a factory produced version of aloe is because I knew I would be able to get the same affect without the flakes and chunks that the Aloe leaf can sometimes leave in your hair for you to pick out for days after styling. That’s annoyingThis product flakes on the hands if you let it dry but does not do that in my hair. No need to let it sit. Just drench hair in warm water, apply in small enough sections to detangle and define, rinse and then proceed with Shampoo. Because it DOES NOT have the same slip as the leaf I like to follow up with a cheap conditioner and a thick and heavy duty oil (if you have type 4 hair like me) right after application in each section because it provides some extra support and moisture when going in with that (oftentimes stripping) shampoo.This product is for detangling and defining your hair BEFORE shampooing NOT MOISTURE. If you feel a lack of slip you probably have too much previous product build up even after rinsing with warm water. It’ll still work though.

Dr. Miracle's is the best pre-shampoo dangling treatment. I've tried several of the highly recommended ones. African Pride smells a lot better, but does not perform as well as this product. It detangles (miraculously) and leaves your hair feeling soft. I've even put two caps on my head and slept with it in overnight to get a deep condition -- even though this is pre-shampoo, it seems a conditioner as well.

Absolutely one of the best products I use for wash days and coming out of a protective styles. The only things I don't like about it is it can get messy and you waste more than you like. The smell is a bit off in my opinion but doesn't last once you wash it out. With that being said I buy it religiously and will continue to do so. It adds so much moisture and reduces breakage significantly because of the slip. I have never had an issue detangling when I use this product no matter how matted my hair gets. If you do a lot of protected styling and have detangling problems it's a buy. You won't be disappointed.

Product has great slip, but the smell is way too strong. Moisture wasn’t bad either.

I’ve tried many products on my 4b/4c hair over the years. Some products have failed to meet my expectations and others have done the job it was described to do. Occasionally, there is a product that surpasses all expectations. Dr. Miracle’s Strong & Healthy Detangling Pre-Shampoo Treatment is hands down one of the top 3 hair products I’ve ever used. Seriously! It’s lightweight, yet effective. It provides great moisture and slip without being oily or greasy. After removing a braided style which left my hair dry, brittle and tangled, Dr. Miracle’s Pre-Shampoo allowed me to finger detangle my hair with ease and returned the luster and hydration my hair desperately needed. Prior to buying this I was using whatever kind of oil I had on hand as my prepoo. This will be my new go to. It does the job, isn’t too oily and has a nice scent.

My daughter and I are natural and we always had trouble with detangling before shampooing, after uninstalling braids. Not now. This pre-shampoo detailer is a game-changer and worth every penny to end frustration and minimize damage and breakage to our naturally curly and/or kinky hair. I don't shampoo without it now. The only mistake I made was thinking I needed to use a large amount when we first started using it. But after a few times, I realized I didn't need to use as much. So my first jar diminished pretty fast, but I know what to do now.

This product is brilliant for it purposes used as pre-shampoo it solve my knots . Works as softening the hair so not pull and tear less damaged hair!!!

The consistency of the product was in runny liquid form. Unusable and I spilled it all in my bath when I was using it.
