This item came well packaged, on time, and was very easy to assemble once you managed to get it out of all the Styrofoam. It is sturdy enough and tall enough to be effective. However, I am very disappointed that the lamp is not bronze as listed. It is a dark, dull brown. The beige shades turn a goldish color when the lamp is turned on. I used a A-19 LED soft white bulb. Because there is no way to repackage it, I can't return the set which is even more disappointing. Other than the color problem for me (not a fan of gold and dull brown tones), the lamps are good value for the money, the off/on switches work well, and it provides enough light with the 60 watt bulbs. I was going to rate it 3 stars but aside from personal taste for me it doesn't deserve it. The 4 star rating is due to the dull brown rather than bronze.

The solid black-shaded lamps are quite well-packaged and very easy to put together. The pieces screw together into themselves and are not wobbly - feel very sturdy. The thick, flat, fabric-covered cord feels like it won't wear out/crack like the standard plastic ones. The base is heavy (quality) - which means there's no worry about tipping the lamp over when turning it on or off. The pull chains are excellent and don't cling-clang the center pole when released. The light is contained inside the shade - it only shines down, not up or through the shade.I love the way they look and I feel they are perfect for the bedroom when I'm not yet ready for the overhead light in the wee hours. They are masculine and classy when done right, so he loves them, too.

I have 4 cats and they knock over everything. I love this lamp. The bottom is heavy so that the cats can't knock it over as easily. The lamp is small enough to be put on a 12"x 10" table. With the old twist knob can use new technology. I never have to enter my home in the dark. I'm able to plug it into a timer that turns it off and on. I can tell Alexa (with a technology plug) to turn on and off the lamp.

The lamps is great and works well. I was surprised that it came bent a bit. Overall is a nice lamp that looks great in my apt.

Looks great. Was easy to put together. I wish Globe Electric would switch to using recyclable packing materials, as the styrofoam they use is messy and takes up a lot of space in the garbage can, but that's not effecting my star rating which is just for the lamp itself.

First off, I was so excited to get this lamp in as I love the way it looks. The lamp was packed in that awful styrofoam that gets everywhere so that was a poor first impression.The first lamp I got was defective as the top part you screw in to secure the shade didn’t fit correctly so the lamp shade was super wobbly. The base pole that connects the base to the lamp shade is two different colors and looks awful.The second one I got also had a base pole that was two different colors. The pictures don’t show this, it just looks like one solid piece but it’s not. I returned the lamp.

The lamp switches are faulty and difficult to turn on. Otherwise, they are ok.

They are exactly like they are pictured. Packaging was damaged and taped back together but everything was inside. I bought these lamps for our master bedroom, because the description said the on/off switch was conveniently located on the base for easy use. But it’s not they only turn off up by the bulb. That is a big disappointment and if these lamps don’t have that convenient on/off them the description should be changed. It was the reason I purchased these lamps. Disappointed fir sure on that one. Delivery was quick though. Will keep them but wish they matched the description.

I needed a lamp for a small bedside table. The 60 watt bulb advertised is too bright because of the shape of the shade...light shines directly into my eyes. I have replaced it with 40 watt bulb which is less intrusive but not that great for reading. I have also put the lamp on a different table in the room. It is a bit shaky because the base is not sufficient for the height. It looks okay but does not work in most spots and is not easy to use. It always feels ready to topple over.

Very pleased with these lamps. Just the perfect touch to the guest room. They are more brown than bronze. The only negative is the switch mechanism which is a little on the stiff side. Other than that they are very nice lamps for the price.

Great lamps which go with anything, nice wide shades which is a very modern trend these days, the price is good too. I knocked off a star as the on/off switch is not very smart as it is very touchy, would prefer simple push button the base.
