A Leatherman Is A Great Multi-Purpose Tool To Own
I already own a Leatherman Blast multi-purpose tool. It is a great tool and very compact so that I wear it on my belt at all times. I rely upon it a lot when sailing or just working around sailboats. I am using this purchase as a high school graduation gift for a family friend who is going to be a sailing instructor this summer before beginning her freshman year in engineering school. I hope that she will appreciate owning a Leatherman multi-tool as much as I do.

Simply the best multi-tool
This is a must have companion for anybody who dabbles in repair work, tinkering, or for general use on a day-to-day basis for a variety of projects. I can't ever see myself without my Leatherman Wave+ attached to my belt. The quality of this tool is top of the line. There is a reason why the Wave multi-tool is a best seller. Very highly recommended.

Best Utility Tool.
I received a Leatherman Wave from my brother a few years back. It has become my go to tool when I need to do something around the house. I decided to buy a new one for my son. These aren’t cheap utility tools. They will last decades.

It's awesome
It feels like it's way higher quality than the Gerber I had previously and I really like the ability to change out items when one is damaged. Overall I really like this.

Worst Leatherman Ever!
I've used Leatherman tools for about 15 years and this new Wave is by far the worst I have ever used. It's design leaves blood blisters on my thumb, forefinger and palm below the forefinger. This is a really poor design for anyone with small to medium hands. It's a real "pain" to use and I will have to find an alternative to Leatherman now! Simply cannot use this tool without destroying my hand!

A medium sized compromize
I have about seven multi tools from different companies. Leatherman are good and my favorite is the supertool 300. I understand something has to be left out in the design when going for a compact tool but for my needs which are doing stuff on computer racks, home fixes and field repairs on the car and camping. The tools fall short and the comfort is not good compared to other tools. The wave plus is a decent tool to throw in the bag or car and use once in a while but for more serious work I would suggest other slightly bigger tools with more capable and longer parts. My wife uses it from time to time in jewelry making and it is decent enough for that as a hobby tool.

A great tool but not perfect
As a owner of Victorinox tools, I decided to buy a Wave+, Charge TTi and Surge to see what all the fuss was about. Below are the Pros and Cons of the Wave+ after a few days with it.Cons- Out of the box, my tool's handles had three noticeable scratches . Luckily, I was able to remove them with 1500 grit paper.- Main blade was dull but came alive after some light stropping- Tool was filthy with dust and oil- Access to tools is not as easy as Victorinox- File quality is questionable which I doubt will survive heavy use.- Micro screw driver should have been made available as screw driver bit and a proper tool put in in it's place like an awl or needle threaderPro for me but maybe Con for others- Opening and closing the pliers is hard as the tool is so new. The joints are stiff. I love this but I imagine others might dislike it. Victorinox are smoother and easier to open but their plier joints tend to have some play which I do not like.Pros- Plier cutters have zero tolerance. They can cut a single strip of printer paper like scissors. This is impressive.- Main blade and serrated blades are easily accessed and work well- Serrated blade is sharp- Tool feels robust and well put together- Tool can be self serviced- Pliers are rigid, cutting blades are replaceable- Built to last- Sheath is snug and well made ( in China )I look forward to receiving the Charge TTi and Surge having seen the Wave Plus. It's a great tool on the whole and definitely a keeper.- Dropped 1 star because of the scratches out of the box and 1 star because the micro screw driver and file are very questionable
