Solar Power Bank for Trail Camera

Great product, with great customer service
Got this for my trail cam so that I don’t have to exchange batteries every three days and I’m loving it so far. If anything changes I’ll update.**Update** wish that I could add a “Star”After some time with this product (which is still great) I inadvertently damaged the power cable that goes from the solar panel to the tail camera. I emailed the great folks over at Campark, requesting information on how to purchase a replacement cord, so that I could get my panel back in working order. I received a prompt and pleasant reply back, stating that if I gave them my address, they would gladly send me a replacement free of charge. I quickly jump on board, replied with my address along with a Hardy thank you. The following day I received another email (apologetic) stating they where out of replacement parts, asked if I would be alrightIf they simply mailed me a “NEW” Solar panel, adding that a cord would already be in the box! Are you kidding me? With all the nightmare stories of people dealing with non existent customer service, I’m here to tell you that the folks over at Campark not only have a fantastic product, but an awesome customer service, that not only stand by the product, but also stand “with” their customers. Thank you Campark “Ray”!

Reliable power source for game cameras
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is a solar panel with a built in battery pack that will serve as a full time power source. What little bit of power the camera uses at night time will be replenished with the solar panel. This item does come with a power cord to charge the panel battery pack if you wish to do so, such as if its been inside for a while. It also comes with a long cord to connect to the camera. Just attach the mounting bracket to a tree, post, wall, etc, and then attach the unit, and plug it into the camera.

This is the thing...
...When you order a little solar panel, and it's as low priced as this one, you expect that it's not going to be the absolute top-of-the-line.In this case, I was delighted to find that I was wrong in my assumptions...and what a pleasing surprise! You get not just the solar panel, but a mounting system that affords you every angle to reach the sun's energizing rays--and there are two ways to mount up: one in the center of the back, and one at the very bottom, so you can choose the optimum angle. As for the solar panel, you get this small but solid unit on what appears to be almost like an Otter-Box type of frame. It's got a nice heft to it, and feels durable and stalwart in its construct. It's genuinely built for the outdoors and ruggedly designed, yet small enough that if you position it well, it's darn near impossible to spot. this panel comes with a nice long cord so you can power your camera/keep its batteries charged from a respectable distance (meaning, you can set the camera under the edge of something to better obscure it, and have enough cord to reach the power-supply) which lets your device (if used as home or garage security, for example) hide safely elsewhere.I'm more than just very pleased with my purchase...and I recommend this item as paired with the camera I've selected. No regrets here, for sure!

Free power for your trail cam
The Campark BC179 comes with the solar unit itSelf, 12v ac adapter to fully charge the unit prior to installation outdoors, a 7 foot 3.5mm cable used to connect the solar panel to the trail cam, a universal swivel mount, mounting screws, owner’s manual and a free gift coupon.I’m using the Campark BC179 in conjunction with the Toguard H80 WiFi HD trail Cam to eliminate the need of having to replace the double A batteries frequently. The panel itself provides 3000 mah / of juice at 6 volts dc/ 2a via its self contained rechargeable batteries. So far the unit has kept my trail cam powered up for the past two days show full power on the trail cams battery health bars. The location I have the solar panel installed sees sun about 10 hours a day this time of year. The build quality seems to be very good. I’d recommend this panel to anyone who owns a trail cam and does want to continuously replace batteries.

Device failed in 3 months of normal use
When I bought the first Campark Trail Camera Solar Panel in December, it worked great so I bought two more. Unfortunately, it did not last. After 3 months of normal use, 2 out the 3 devices no longer power the cameras. Both failed devices have the LED indicates that they are charging from the sun, but will not power anything. I plugged it into the wall to charge it, and I got the same results.I took them down and open up the devices. I found out that one device has a different type of battery than the other two, which are the failed devices. The failed device has battery of 'JNW 707095 7.4V-2S 2500mAh 18.5Wh 2007', the good device has battery of 'WG 707195P-2S 7.4V 2500mAh 18.5Wh 2011'. When I tried to get product support from my order history, it shows "This item is not eligible for this service."

Nice addition to the Campark gamecam
I bought the really small 16mp Campark mini trail gamecam. It uses 4 AA batteries which is nice.....if you're near the camera.Mine is set a couple hours away which means I don't get up to check the batteries every week. And I have the gamecam set to video rather than pictures. On pictures the battery life is really good, at least a month and a half and still going until I changed over to taking all video.Knowing video will take much more juice I ordered this solar panel/ portable power bank in September 2020. It's now March 2021 and the camera is still taking video. No batteries needed with this solar power bank. Really nice to know the only limiting factor is now the 32 gig card. But I get up about once a month so I switch it out and haven't had problems. The only thing that needs to be done is to dremel out the hole where the solar power bank attaches. If the camera goes too long without power it loses the date and time. Dremel out the hole to the edge of the door so you can open the camera without disconnecting the power cord so you don't lose the time and date.5 of 5 stars.
