I love the detailed photos! this is amazing, and there are some stitches in this one not included in some others. the details on the types of threads are what i have really been looking for!

Un livre magnifique, qui permet de compléter ma petite bibliothèque sur le sujet. Couvre bien toutes les techniques du domaines, et les photos sont d'excellente qualité pour bien visualiser les détails. Parfait pour apprendre plein de techniques différentes.

Ich habe lange nach Informationen über klassische und eindrucksvolle Sticktechniken gesucht. Hier finde ich gute Erklärungen zu den Materialien und Anwendungen, zwei aufwendige und wunderschöne Projekte zum Nachahmen und mehrere erstklassige Beispiele für Goldstickereien. Nicht nur auf Gold sondern auch auf Perlen, Pailletten und weitere Materialien ausgeweitet.

I’d give this book more than 5 stars if I could. It covers all the techniques used in gold work embroidery. The illustrations beautifully compliment the written guidelines. There are some projects at the end of the book which encompasses the techniques covered. If you want to try your hand at doing gold work (metal thread) embroidery but are not quite sure where to start this is most certainly the book for you. The comprehensive instructions will give you the skill and confidence to tackle any project. I really cannot recommend it more highly.
