Don't save - Invest! Essential guidance for uncertain times
If, like me, you would like to save money for the future but are uncertain how to proceed given low interest rates, rising inflation and a turbulent stock market, then this is the book for you. Very well written and thoroughly researched, it cuts through the jargon so often used by the 'experts' to outline how normal people can take advantage of a simple and well established method of long-term investing.Child Millionaire is not for those who want to get in on the secrets behind a get-rich-quick scheme, but for those who wish to grow their wealth gradually with low risk over a long time-horizon. Indeed, if you don't have children then I would strongly recommend that you buy it anyway - I don't have kids and read it in the context of saving for my retirement (as far as I can see it could easily be called the Retirement Millionaire!)Starting with a crash course in investment fundamentals, it goes on to explain how anybody can easily set up a portfolio of blue-chip stocks that has the potential to grow exponentially and ride out financial turmoil, given enough time and the compounding effect of dividend reinvestment and regular additional stock purchases. With additional resources such as an investment calculator and introductions to many of the themes in the book available at [...]Child Millionaire is an absolute bargain that I hope will repay itself many times over!
