I bought this sound machine a couple years ago after my sister moved in with me and my husband. We lived in an old, creaky apartment with thin walls and I thought it would help us have less disruptions while we slept. We ended up loving this sound machine so much that we bought another one for my sister to put in her room as well.Things I love the most about this particular machine:1. It lasts. We have used ours every night for two years with ZERO problems.2. It holds a charge. My husband and I have gone camping with this machine on many occasions for several days at a time. The description says it holds a charge for up to 12 hours, but we have used it for at least two nights at a time (16+ hours) without needing to recharge it. It's also portable and light weight so it is really easy to take anywhere with us.3. The sound! Our favorite sound is the thunderstorm setting and we use it every night, but other settings are nice as well. I'm a therapist and have used the "fan" option before for privacy reasons when speaking with clients. I have also used "energize" while doing yoga. So many sound machines have noises that sound really artificial and end up being distracting. This one gives you so many great options and is so peaceful!There is also a really cool feature where you can set the sound on a timer for those folks who only want to use it as they are falling asleep. I've never needed it myself, but it works great as well.To be honest, if our sound machine ever dies, I will buy this specific one all over again in a heartbeat. It's at such a great price point and deserves all the praise!!

This is the second one of these units I've purchased. The first one lasted a really long time. I can't sleep in complete silence so the white noise has always worked well for me, but then I happened upon the Zen setting, Wow, it almost puts me into a trance and I fall to sleep within a few minutes! I think this is a must have for people who have difficulty sleeping, it's even perfect size to take along with you when you travel and blocks out unfimiliar sounds. Great product!

This is hands down one of my favorite products that I own. I love this machine so much that I bought two in case my husband or I go out of town so we can each have one.It's small and compact so can fit easily in a carry on and not take up much room. There is a locking switch on the bottom for traveling so the buttons are not activated accidentally. Its rechargeable so it doesn't have to be plugged in. The battery lasts a LONG time! I haven't measured the exact time, but I feel confident in saying that it will last at least 2 weeks before it needs to be plugged in to a standard micro USB plug. I keep my machine on until I manually turn it off in the morning.Lots of functionality:*There is a time so it will automatically turn off after a certain amount of time.*Multiple options for sleep sounds like light rain, thunderstorm, ocean, campfire, spa sounds, zen, rainforest, dockside, white noise (going off of memory so there could be one more)*Adjustable volume control*locking mechanism for traveling so the buttons do not turn the machine onYou will not be disappointed with this machine!!

I choose this one because I don't need a nite light feature and wanted just nature sounds. the speaker is decent, sounds are good. the rainforest and everglades are mostly a repeating cricket sound, not for me. but I like the different water sounds: ocean, dockside, gentle rain, brook. the dockside is a little more gentle sounding then ocean but both are nice. other sounds: fan, white noise, thunderstorm, campfire zen, and energize. energize & zen are electronic organ music.I like the overall sleek design. very compact and takes up little space. the dial is easy to use but be gently with it and turn the dial one sound at a time instead of rapidly going to the sound you want. good thing is that it turns back on to the last chosen sound.the lock feature is only so the power botton doesn't gets accidently turned on when packed for traveling.one of the videos said that after every use lock it to save the battery from draining. not so and not mentioned to do this in the manual.I leave it in the unlock position at home.one bonus would have been if a travel bag was included but it would be easy to buy one or make one because of its compact size.maybe a small padded electronic bag, make up bag or just wrap it in a small towel for travel.it doesn't come with the plug just the cable but if you have a phone or other devices its the same plug. just check if its 110-240v ac. most are. one of the questions was can this be charge in a car, the reply was no. my thought is that if I can charge my phone and other electronics in my car why not this with the proper adapter?! This is a wonderful machine. It has 12 different sounds for you to chose from. Is soothing and relaxing to either help you fall asleep or practice your mindfulness. I love that it offer 3 turn off time settings: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour. It is also small and takes up hardly any room. Only downside is it's a USB port for charging if you want to use it unplugged. The company does not provide the cube to plug the USB port into the cube the into the wall socket. So be prepared to buy that. Other than that I more than highly recommend this homedics sound machine.
