Cutting Corners Ruler

I watched a demo by the ruler designer on YouTube. It really got my juices flowing for digging out some blocks I was given years ago. I've never been a fan of the Friendship Star block and a whole pile of them that I don't want to play with has weighed on me. This versatile ruler will help make these much more interesting with very little effort. It will keep on making odd shapes easy and approachable. Pentagon shapes (House blocks for instance) Octagons, inset striped border triangles with no waste, and so many more, can be made with much smaller amounts of waste. I recently watched a quilt tutorial and I realized all the places I could substitute this ruler technique for the cut off corners for many shapes. I'm a fan.
