Great dress to celebrate the Day of the Dead
Nice outfit for the Day of the Dead - I was invited to a Halloween party and I decided to dress as a Catrina. It was a hit!!! The dress has a strechy material, so it can fit perfectly. It was above right my knees because I was 4' 11". It probably will be shorter in someone who is not petite. I would have liked to be shorter than my knees, but it is not the item issue, it is me. I am too small. I still love the dress. I bought a puffy skirt to wear underneath and I wore overtheknee boots. I bought the XSmall/Small size. I am 104 pounds and it was ok for me. It probably can fit someone that is until 115 pounds or so.The quality of the dress is ok and the colors are exactly as shown in the picture. I think it is a great custome. If you feel that you will offend someone with this custome, do not do it. I am Mexican and I do not feel offended if someone, no Mexican, wears it. In fact, I feel good that they want to honor the Day of the Dead tradition by wearing the custome. To me, it is not just to honor my culture, but it is a fiesta of color and happiness!!To us, Mexicans, the Day of the Dead is a celebration of Life and a moment to remember our love ones that are not alive, but in our hearts. Now in a global world, Halloween and the Day of the Day traditions are blending. It is a natural fenomena in a global world. We cannot stop it, but embrace both celebrations.

Great costume
This costume is well made, but very small. If you’re more than 125 lbs, it’s barely going to fit. I got lots of compliments on it though.

Super cute, shoulder straps rise
I'm 5'3", 125, 24" waist, 34C breast. Bought a size small which fit but the blue satin lace up corset in front was cinched all the way tight to fit properly. It was a little linger than expected but still just above my knee. Typical short people problem. LOL! Very stretchy & the under skirt of the dress has tule which keeps the skirt fluffy as shown in the picture. No need to extra undergarments! The colors are exactly as shown on the model in the pink dress. It was really cute in person. 2 things to consider; 1) the front ruffle at the neck rolls up occasionally so keep an eye on it for pictures. 2) the ruffle on the shoulders (NOT THE STRAPS), rises up & wants to sit on your shoulders if you raise your arms when you hug someone. No big deal on either just food for thought. I'd definitely purchase again & it was very comfortable. I wore small weave fishnet dance tights underneath. They have padded feet bottoms which are nice so your feet don't slip in your shoes. Wore Pleaser solid black pumps to complete the outfit. Fluffed up the felt flowers on the dress because they come pretty flat & looked dorky. Super cute & comfy!

Get over being offended, this costume is awesome!
LOVE the costume! The dress is of good quality and I am very happy with the way it fits. The skirt does not fluff out like in the picture, but it still looks very nice. It arrived 3 days earlier than expected, which was a plus for me!Side note: I’m tired of all the Mexican rants here about this being disrespectful to your culture. This is NOT a mexican tradition, it is a Latino America tradition. I, too, celebrate this day as a CENTRO AMERICANA and I don’t run around on a high horse judging others for wearing this costume. On Halloween, people dress up as anything they like, doctors, skeletons, animals, people... it’s not out of disrespect. It’s called HAVING FUN. Así que dejen de estar dando su opinión de que están ofendidos. Si les molesta tanto, no anden viendo los disfraces!! Its that easy.

Plus size = Frumpy
I was looking for something cute and sexy for a Day of the Dead party, and I thought this dress would be perfect. Being a size 14/16, and having read reviews that a M/L was tight on a size 12, I decided to purchase the plus size. It is plenty big enough (I have no doubt it would fit a size 22). The problem is that it the plus size dress is a completely different dress. As I click on the link to write this review, behold! there is a picture of the actual dress I received, but, alas, this picture does not appear on the site when ordering the plus size. So, since I know you probably can't see what the plus size version looks like, I thought I'd post a picture. There's nothing remotely sexy about this number. The skirt is much longer than I wanted, and the sleeves are long, hot (temperature), ugly, and annoying. Plus, the gathering and bow on the neckline is off-center. I just hate everything about this dress except for the cute print on the skirt. Why, oh why, do designers feel the need to frump down dresses for people who are larger? We want to look cute and sexy, too! So disappointed...
