Salt Lick Original BBQ Sauce, 12 Ounce - 6 per case.

This BBQ sauce is awesome. I was born & raised in Hawaii for half my life, then went to San Diego (for most of the "next" half). During that time I've experienced what was thought to be good BBQ. But ultimately an opportunity came up that got me out to Texas, and taught me that I had not experienced the best BBQ yet. When in Austin, I experienced this wonderful BBQ sauce at their Salt Lick restaurant multiple times. Simply the best I've tasted. And I could get it at Salt Lick or HEB (the best grocery store in existence, but limited to Texas I believe). I've moved back to San Diego since, but have seriously missed the wonderful flavors of Salt Lick BBQ sauce (as well as shopping at HEB, sniff sniff). I've also become a sous vide freak over the last couple months, and man, pairing Salt Lick BBQ sauce (including their dry rubs) with tri-tip, brisket, etc = heaven. But outside of cooking the meat sous vide, when it comes to BBQ I use Salt Lick BBQ dry rubs and sauce. They love how tender the meat is (thanks, sous vide), but also the taste (thanks, Salt Lick). I'm also writing this because like others here, when I left Texas I was left looking at the BBQ sauces in the aisle and going, "Damn, I don't want this crap." So I went on Amazon, found it here, and placed my order. The first order I just got had one of the three bottles broken. But hell, I'm not gonna send those two bottles back. So I wrote the seller and explained that one bottle broke, and I wiped down the others - and within an hour or so they told me the replacement (plus a bonus bottle) are on the way. That's great. While the number of reviews here isn't a huge number, you'll notice that it's 16 (or so) as of this writing. And it's all five stars. That's because this BBQ sauce is five stars. Simply great stuff. And if you're ever passing through their relatively small airport, they have a small Salt Lick there where you can buy this stuff (including a more limited menu, but still scrumptious). Don't pass it up. It's great.

Best BBQ sauce of all I’ve tried.

This BBQ sauce is unique - it tastes like no other. And that's a good thing. My wife's boss sent her a bottle early this year, and by mid-year we're buying the stuff by the case. I have never liked BBQ sauce primarily because I don't like catsup and to me, most BBQ sauce tastes like catsup that has been thickened, sweetened, smoked and sweetened some more. I'm not a fan of the Carolina "vinegar style" sauce either. This BBQ sauce may or may not contain anything close to a tomato - I don't know - but I'm pretty sure it has mustard of some sort it. I don't really care that much what's in it, I just know that I like it! Lots! I originally tried to buy this direct from Salt Lick on their website but when I found that the shipping cost for a case was roughly equal to the cost of the product, I decided against it. Fortunately, Taylor's Market here on Amazon has much more appropriate shipping fees and will be getting future orders from me. Unless of course I give in to the urge to move to Austin...

All 3 bottles the caps on bottles were loose and broken. Box full of sauce. I’ve had this salt lick barbecue sauce before I love it not too sweet. Too bad I was looking forward to it.

Went to the Salt Lick last summer for the first time since we moved away from Austin over 20 years ago. Austin has greatly changed but the Salt Lick was just as good as I remember. it's hard to review food since everyone's tastes are different but I swear I could drink this sauce, it's so yummy. It's a sad day when we realize all our bottles are empty and we have to settlle for another brand. So I'm putting this on subscription.

The best BBQ and worthy every dime! The shipping was quick and packaged well.

The sauce is great, but packaging of the product needs some work because one of the bottles was damaged and leaking.

Just LOVE this BBQ sauce !
