great product, good value
Is so much better than the old cordless it replaced, I love the steam function, it is a bit heavy for my frail old arms after a while so gives me a good excuse not to go through too much ironing in one go. It isn't particularly heavy but I have sore wrists. heats up quickly. and the steam function button is amazing makes ironing so much easier. I probably get as much done with the extra steam function as I would with my old iron so the weight hasn't impacted much, its more a comfort thing, the water dispenser I find a bit difficult to open but again thats more a me problem.

Runs out of steam quickly
I bought this iron after seeing positive reviews elsewhere and a demonstration on one of the shopping channels which looked good.I was after a decent iron with a powerful steam action to help me motor through the chore of ironing. The product came with a decent set of instructions as to how to use it and care for it which was good. It is a little heavier than most other irons I've used in the past, but this is an advantage I think, rather than a negative. The steam function works well and does put out a decent amount of pressure and quantity. So far I've not managed to use it upright for de-creasing clothes as was claimed in one of the many JML adverts, as when held upright the steam doesn't appear to be powerful enough to penetrate the fabric and loosen the creases. The reservoir is small in comparison to the size of the rest of the iron, and this means it runs out of water very quickly. There's also no automatic cutoff switch or warning meaning you could continue to run the "steam generator" dry and thus damage it. This seems to be an oversight and one I hope is corrected in future models. The redeeming quality is that the water chamber isn't pressurised, meaning you can top it up at any time without having to wait for the pressure to eaqualise.
