Apparently everything FENIX has risen from the ashes where others leave off ! Another HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT ! CAUTION ....THIS IS AS ADVERTISED 130 DECIBELS ! And the 3× means it is VERY EASY with less effort from lungs if you are hurt or else. The whistle is small but powerful made from high food grade STAINLESS STEEL ! Lanyard is stout and flexible does not irratate neck line and is smooth but tough . Clasp that keeps it together is well crimped and made should keep whistle in place and not down the trail ! Ring that ties it together is stout not going to come undone . I am very pleased as usual when I purchase a FENIX product . Again Folk's when you test this becareful with your Dog ! Something to consider for cold-weather users: a note in the package says its operating temperature is 0-45 degrees Celsius. I'm guessing that's because it's metal, so if you try and use it below freezing you could end up wearing it as a fashion accessory (although, in the interest of fairness, it IS a very stylish whistle). No plastic internal components (all metal) as far as I can tell, so I doubt the limitation is due to material failure issues (still works fine after spending the afternoon in my freezer). You can use it to full effect at lower temps if you're careful not to touch it with bare skin (blowing through my gloved fingers to separate my lips from it, I was still able to get the full sound). Consider a plastic whistle for cold-WX applications unless durability is more important to you than ease of use--but if you want the durability over the convenience, this whistle is built like a tank and is still usable below freezing as long as you're careful with it.Performance-wise it's a lot more compact than I thought, but louder than it looks and produces a lot of noise without much effort. Most importantly, it looks cool. Overall I like it.

if you blow into this whistle at low velocity, its weak and sounds ridiculous, BUT if you cut loose and blow into this whistle with a purpose its incredibly shrill and loud, it WILL attract attention, perfect fit for EDC, very small, easy to wear around neck with lanyard, small to fit the bug out bag, and STAINLESS STEEL

Great EDC whistle, perfect size, plenty loud, can't see anyway of breaking it. Just got this today and I'm very happy. Its small enough to wear comfortable around my neck without a bulge. Its very loud and has the ability to blow at different volumes. Not as loud as my Fox 40 Sonic blast, but loud enough and much better looking for an EDC item. Shipping was much faster than estimated ( I think about 9 days from china to CA ) I was not sure how good this would be without any reviews to go off of , but I'll be buying more for my family members now that I've got one to use. If anything goes wrong with this whistle I'll update my review, but, it seems very well built. apx 1.75" long and just over 1/4" thick.

I figured it would be good on the keychain and it looked nice. I have to say, it showed up and felt real nice in the hand. It looks like maybe it was made from one piece of aluminum. It's nice and it's pretty darn loud. I can't say I know why you need this, but might be worth checking out...

This is exactly what I was looking for. Small lightweight and loud. Easy to loop onto my daypack for hiking. Accurate description, it’s loud without having to exert and use a lot of force to make a piercing whistle. Well made.

Very loud and made of titanium, so it’s going to last a very long time. I did not care for the lanyard that came with it, so I cut the lanyard off and attached the whistle to my keychain.
