Does what it says ....

Initially after recieving it, I thought I'd got the wrong one after cutting it down to the correct diameter, it just would not fit in the end of my 40mm corrugated pond pipe, but I filed the end of this connector down at an angle of about 30° & it fitted straight it, no problem. The clips I got to hold it on, were a disaster, way too big, so I pulled the pipe off, ran a continuous bead of Stixall Clear adhseive/sealer around the end of the connector and pushed it into the pipe/hose. 24hours later, no leaks from the overflow water bin or the pipe connection. Unlike some PVC hosetail fittings these are well finished with no unwanted moulding flash, etc and are completely rigid with no tendency to deform under pressure from hose clips, etc. I bought two to use in conjunction with a pair female 90 degree 1.5" BSP elbows to install a UV clarifier into a confined space.

Could do with two better quality rubbing seals for each connection.
