Only timer with a warranty that works with low pressure setups
I am giving it 5 stars simply because it is the only product on the market that does low pressure with a warranty. Other products here on Amazon or other sites are from companies I have never heard of, only have a 30 or 90 day warranty, or don't have valve systems that work with low pressure. All the expensive digital faucet timers cut water pressure by 50-70%. So they are simply not usable. The bad: 1. The connections are plastic. I expect them to leak or break and have to return them under warranty. 2. The black hose connection does not turn except if you have the finger strength of the Incredible Hulk. So you have to get a pliers, which the instructions say not to use on the cheap plastic. 3. The timer setup is not digital and there is no clock. So as others have noted here the experience is less than easy. 4. There is no wifi. So if you are expecting to turn on and off the faucet from your smart phone or monitor watering in any way, you cannot. 5. They are bulky so even if you have a two way or four way hose splitter these may not fit when connected to the outlet as they are typically too close together.

Perfect for rain barrel automation
I hooked this up to our rain barrel drip system so when we're away (or forgetful) the plants get watered. Neighbors don't have to water plants each day. Just stop by to be sure the barrel isn't empty then refill as needed when there's no rain. This unit works with low pressure setups like our rain barrel system. Others won't work unless you have water pressure from a city system/well pump.

Failed after two weeks; replacement failed the second day of use. Difficult to program.
Wow, I've had Toro products for decades that performed great. And now this piece of garbage! This is by far the worst timer I could imagine. Difficult to program, when you set the timer, it won't go on until the next time. For example, if you set it for once every 24 hours, it won't come on for 24 hours. Nowhere in the instructions does it say this! It failed after two weeks! Unfortunately, the return period expired before we placed it in service. I called Toro service and they sent a replacement, no questions asked. It ran fine the first day then the low battery light went on. I put a second set of fresh batteries in and the low battery light came on immediately and the timer won't work. It just sits there and clicks randomly. I called Toro and they said they will not issue a refund, so they are sending a third timer. They asked me to box up both timers and they sent me a prepaid return to return the old ones. No incentive for me boxing them and driving them to the local UPS store. In the meantime, my wife bought a different brand timer and it works great. I'll take the one Toro sends me and give it to the neighbor I dislike the most! I'm mad and haven't decided if I will mess with returning the old timers. I think Toro should have refunded the purchase price, not just keep sending me more of the same junk!

Only affordable low flow option available
Used for a month now and still working ok. Just wish there were a few more watering timing options. Make sure you prefilter the water entering this unit if this is a rain barrel application.

This timer works great, especially for low pressure applications
I own both this model and the previous generation model. They both work well. There are numerous reviews that say the unit does not work in auto mode. This is not true, 1st you set the watering frequency ( how often you want the valve the open), then you set the water run time. The unit will not automatically start until AFTER THE FREQUENCY PERIOD HAS PASSED, it does not water immediately after setting it. For example if you set frequency to 24 hours and run time to 15 minutes, It will not perform its 1st 15 minute watering cycle until 24 hours from the point at which you set it. To be fair, the instructions are not very clear at all on the way this timer works in the auto mode.

ONLY Timer to use for rain barrel watering!!
I tired several other hose timers from my local hardware store, but all of them require the high pressure coming from a garden hose to work. This timer only opens and closes a valve and doesn't require any level of back pressure. If you're using a rain barrel system, this is the only type of valve that works. Be sure to bring in the timer over the winter. Mine failed after two years of being outside, but I chalk that up to user error.

Low pressure water timer option for rain barrels
I used this with a 55 gallon rain barrel to add automatic watering to my raised bed garden. I elevated my barrel about 24” high then ran water to garden through 1/2” poly pipe. Used adjustable droppers every 12-18”in the beds. The water pressure is very low, but given the limited elevation of the tank, it is what I expected. Over the past month the timer has worked properly and is doing a good job of adding supplemental watering 20-30’ from the rain barrel. This is not to be used on your home water spicier. That’s too much pressure for it to operate properly. This is strictly for non-pressurized water systems. Not many products will do this so I am pleased so far.

50/50 if the product works
I bought 4 of these for an outdoor low pressure irrigation system. Used since June of 2020 and now in Aug of 2020 only 2 are working. The broken ones just keep making clicking sounds. I think it is a defect with the inside working parts. So buyers beware you might get a short life span on this. Better product testing should be in place on this device.

Me gusta que trabaja perfectamente con agua por gravedad y riega 3 árboles sin problemas

Used this on a water barrel and it worked on the low pressure setup. However, it leaked from faucet/tap coupling and I had to use silicone sealant to seal it. There is a minor mistake in the manual - where it stated that the indicator light will flash green, it doesn’t. Also, a digital timer would have provided more flexible frequency and duration settings but I could not find one that works with low pressure.

worked perfectly all summer on our water tank which we watered our plants with

I retreaded this device and it works great. Would be better if it had universal thread or an adapter to suit.

Not the best product. It doesn't reset. I changed the time from 30 min to 45 and now it never stops after 45. Just keeps running until the barrel is empty.
