Siddur: Weekday Prayers

I found this Siddur to be quite helpful as my Hebrew is very basic and it is important to me to understand what it is that I am praying. In fact, the repetition of these prayers has gradually helped my Hebrew vocabulary and grammar. So it has to me been not only a prayer resource, but a Hebrew study aid as well.

Nice and crisp writing. But I expected more literal translation. There are places where a general meaning is placed instead of word by word translation. I understand that to follow the text in Hebrew, this is enough, but I wanted to learn the language through a holy book, which I do not find possible with this.

I love this siddur. Wen praying you need to understand what you are saying otherwise its just lip service. This siddur helps so much for any none Hebrew speaker. I strong recommend it. You get used to the style of the translation then when you read the Hebrew and start to memorize it you can read Hebrew out load while reading the English silently..

This is the only way to get knowledge of what you are actually praying, word by word, and not a translation that would be much looser.

Excellent Siddur. Type size helps as I have a hard time reading small print. Easy to read. Good understanding of Hebrew to English translation.

Just what I was looking for

This is simply the best siddur for a BT or anyone for that matter to use. The Hebrew text is large and easy to read, and the English tranlation under each word lets you know what your saying when you say it! This siddur is amust have!
