My need was a Shepherd hook for hanging bird nectar feeder. Wife wanted one and I was about to purchase from Lowe's. Thought of checking on amazon and placed the order after seeing reasonable price compare to the home improvement stores.This S hook has 3 height option but trust me you will always use maximum height because it is not so tall and will also beat the purpose of any needs for shepherd hook.My 2 cents below :- These are strong enough after assembly (which literally takes seconds). Holds still. I did use hammer to ground it properly. However, your needs should be hanging light items like bird feeder or solar lanterns etc. Not meant for heavy items. Rod bends a bit when heavy item are hanged- Reasonable price. Difficult to get this product for lower price in stores- Build quality is decent however would have been great if metal rods were more thick

It's hard to see in the photo, but I attached it to the fence using the fence panels and the horizontal support beam. The hook, the watering can, and the lights all came from Amazon. It made a great Mother's Day gift for my mom!

Based on the provided sizes, I thought this would be perfect for a low-hanging feeder to be visible from my low windows. However, the sizes provided do not indicate the size of the shepherd's hook when in the ground (which is to say... when you are actually using it and need to know how tall it will be). In actuality, this was at the tallest only 26.5" from the ground to top, and thus for my situation too short to be seen from a window. I can't imagine that you'd ever use this for anything other than a hanging lantern considering the true size.Other than the size, it seems fine. Screws together easily and is a dark antiqued copper color.

I purchased outdoor solar heavy lights that came with disappointing shepherd hooks for the lights. When the sprinklers go off, the hooks slowly fell to the ground due to the soaked earth as if they could not hold up!I bought one of these to see if it could withstand the weight of the lights I bought and it was awesome- I will be going back to purchase 5 more. Very strong and the wide pitched bottom stays in ground. Good value- I wish there was buy one or more for a less cost, but not happening.

These were a much better quality than I was expecting. The outdoor string lights I ordered were much heavier than I thought they would be and these hooks hold them up great. I thought with as much rain as we've had, they might have trouble standing up but they haven't leaned at all, even with the weight of the lights. I'm so happy with them, I'm going to order more so I can string lights on both sides of our patio.

Exactly as photographed. On the shorter side but that’s my fault for not measuring out the length it’s advertised as, I prob should’ve purchased the taller one but whatever, I’m fine with the height regardless. It’s very pretty, the bronze is lovely and rustic. Def a good purchase!

We have humming birds outside our window that feed on the hibiscus. My cat loves to watch them, so I bought an extra large feeder to attract even more humming birds. It’s a hit and he absolutely loves it.

I was looking for a hook for our bird feeder. I searched for a hanging hook and found this one. It came in several pieces and I can easily put them together. And later, I am planning to use it for Halloween decoration after taking one piece off to make it shorter. I like the fact that it is adjustable.
