For fresh water rods...mostly.
40mm 1.6" is WAAAAAY to big for your standard bait caster.spinning rod handles.It may shrink good in some areas but in others where the grip gets narrower it will be very lose.Im trying a 30mm version to see how they work.If you have a larger diameter handle like those on surf rods this will probably work good but this size IS NOT for smaller fresh water rods.

The 1.6 inch dia is too big
Won't shrink enough to fit most freshwater rods.

Doesn't shrink how it's supposed to
Must have received a bad or old batch cause they didn't shrink enough, I was using it on some salt gear and it was a bit loose after applying heat, they didn't bother to help out with anything so buyers beware

Get the closest size that can fit over!!
Make sure you get the closest size to what can fit over. The shrink rate I got was not 2 to 1 more like 1.5 to 1 but i reached out and they are working with me to fix the issue. I'm happy with the service I am getting.
