Very nice medal. Not zinc alloy, made out of iron based metal. It attracts magnets so it sits weird next to a magnetic clasp.

I purchased the St. Joseph Medal, it is the most beautiful medal I've ever seen. The detail is perfection. I am so pleased with this purchase. I will most definitely purchase again from this seller. The description states durable, I will wait to comment on that, but I have no doubt that it will last and wear well.
