Luxe: A Novel

This author, Ashley, Antwanette has some amazing books. I read a lot of her books our book club love her I follow her. Her books are exciting. Suspense talks about every day relationships in her books how women’s are how it’s just a great book. She’s an awesome author.

Book Review for LUXE by Ashley Antoinette! Whewwwwww! Where do I start! From the very beginning this author successfully pulled at my heart strings for the character young Bleu! How could life be so cruel for an innocent child when both parents are caught up in the life of addiction! Before Bleu is out of grade school, she had suffered more tragedies than a person three times her age, but she had a shining light! Her best friend Noah and his mother who was a mother to young Bleu when her mother failed to show up for duty! Bleu and Noah remained the best of friends through high school when Bleu winds up at the wrong place at the wrong time with devastating circumstances! Noah, realizing Bleu was in a dangerous life and death situation steps into action with a plan to get Bleu to UCLA where she earned a full ride scholarship! Noah made a decision that he felt needed to be made or else Bleu would not have followed her dreams and stayed behind because of him! Heading out alone to a new place with no friends leaves Bleu some what troubled but then her focus is to make her dream a reality since she made it that far! Bleu is a sweet focused girl who was not ready for the environment she walked into! Her roommate and her friends appeared to be very wealthy and did not think kindly of her arrival! My heart bled for Bleu because she arrived at school with nothing but a bag of clothing to deal with arrogance and being shunned from others. Bleu did not even have sheets for her bed so she slept on the mattress! That is until her roommate and her friends decided to take her under their wings. They introduced Bleu to a lifestyle of glitz and glamour, but everything that glitters is not gold and while living the high life may seem appealing, it does not come without a price! The price is costly as Bleu gets in way over her head and spirals out of control! It turns out that Bleu was not built for the lifestyle she chose! Betrayals of trust cause her to make decisions that she could not control which made her vulnerable to the people around her! When you think Bleu has been through all that she could possibly go through and could go no further, she slips even further into dismal circumstances! But then comes a ray of hope in a man who has loved Bleu from the moment he laid eyes on her who is committed to do whatever it takes to help her. Bleu has to decide whether she wants the help but before she could make that decision another who rejected her love comes front and center and wants her to make a choice! What decision will Bleu make and will she reveal the plan that she unwittingly has become a part of? The book is called LUXE by Ashley Antoinette a definite 5 star read!

this should be a limited miniseries on Netflix or Hulu. This was so dang on good, i played it continuously at work, in my car and back home again!

I love this book Ashley never disappoints.....her pen game is serious.....there was nothing about this book that I didn't like expect for the fact that Iman was a hypocrite even with that being said I still couldn't help but like him and I like Noah as well as far as her choice I feel like her and Noah belong together there soulmates I hope she choose Noah #TEAM NOAH ALL DAY....I hope she gets her stuff back together in book 2 I just want to see her in her right mind....if your a fan of Ashley and jaquavis books you will see a pop up from a character from one of there first books in this book I won't give it away doe....can't wait for part 2 I have so many unanswered questions(what happened to Chyna and Bree?..Will Iman and Tan really get a divorce?...will Naomi be a problem for Bleu?....who will she choose?....) Patiently waiting on part 2...this book was a movie!!!!

Lord, Bleu had me ready to throw my iPad across the room! She should have known the streets like the back of her hand, yet she kept on making naive mistakes. Drinking random drinks, taking random drugs, trusting crackheads………I felt like reaching in the story and slapping her. But it was a good read. On your part 2!

This book was so good. My heart goes out to Bleu, she’s been through so much at a young age. I can’t wait to get started on part 2. Noah or Iman or the devil itself.

Great combination of the gritty street action with characters from the hood and the love story conflict. Some of her books are all action and some of her stories are more of the True Confessions type of back and forth, in love or not, conflict. Princess with a thug, and throwaway children who charm the king , thugs and geek, square boys lusting for fly chicks and shy girls with gangsters. This Luxe series is all that. And consequently, I love the way she weaves both types together. And as great as she’s been, Ashley is still growing as an author. I can’t wait for the next bestseller series, in the style of the Cartel and Prada Plan - both are simply amazing sets and each one of the multiple books, of these series, is a page turner. I can’t wait for a new series to be written by the more experienced Ash! I’m hanging on the edge of my seat! Take your time and create another Great!! I Can’t wait!

This book was GREAT!!! I did t think so much action would be in it since it’s just about Bleu!!! Lord she done got herself in some CRAZYYYY MESS!!! I feel sorry for her bc she just wanted to go to college and live her life but she was doomed since birth and it’s sooo sad 😢!!! Starting on the next book and I know it’s just going to be more excitement as the first one!!! One thing I can say is she has two powerful men fighting for her so she has to come out good at the end!!!!!❤️
