Worth Dying For
Profound story!Just like certain movies that leave a "footprint" on our hearts, this is such a book. This story has elements of the current battles between organized crime and the men and women that risk their lives to stop them. It has elements of the all encompassing meaning of true love. The love of a mother willing to do anything to protect and defend her child. The love between two beautiful women that transcends the painful lost of a loved one and the love between friends. We all know or should know that these stories, though intense and heartfelt, are a work of fiction. That is why I am confused with some of the negative reviews about this book and I have to say that if these people wanted to read a non-fiction story -- they should try reading a book on cave painting!Ms. Denise is an awesome writer and great story teller. I hope to read many more of her stories.

last chance saved it
What do I mean by "last chance saved it?" for me it is the genre. I have been burned by lesbian stories in the past - true there have not been many stories, but the few that there have been had both females be characters I couldn't care less about. I tried, finished each story with feeling like I wasted my time. One was sorta okay, but only in comparison to the other trash. In these books they were either stereotypically bitchy (like uber feminism, I am woman hear me roar or out and out petty bitch) or stereotypically woe is me. A strong female does not need to be a bitch or a damsel to be in the lead roles. Often in my experience it was the fleeting secondary chicks that were likable. But in Worth Dying For all the chicks in here were believable in my opinion. Not too weak not too bitchy not too damsel in distress. Also the plot was good. I thought it read like a movie ... when I read the author's note I now know why! All her stories start off as screenplays then she reverse adapts them for novelization. This novel by Trin Denise gives me hope -that at least in her stories- I could read about a decent lesbian couple without the angst. I hope that all her love stories end like this one with the girl getting the HEA. I also thought it was cool that the mother got her own long overdue HEA.

One of the best reads...a must have....
I have to admit I read hundreds of book, straight and lesbian and I can tell you this one ranks in top of my favorite 3 and yes it is definitively lesbian novel so sorry if you are straight I would not recommend this book for you unless you are gay friendly well than yes. Definitely book that I will read again in near future- it's something I do with books I really like. I read some of the comments that were not so positive about this particular book and I have to admit, who ever makes bad comment about great book is either blind or definitively book is not for them to read (as I mentioned it is lesbian novel so get over it). The story, characters, action, plot from start to end its great. The Story is well worth reading. There is time to cry, laugh, smile and/or both at once -all while you read. I hope for more and more titles from this writer. I also hope someday I will see this on big screen, definitively worth filming!!!!!!!!!

I want more books, Trin Denise
The book, Worth Dying for was filled with adventure, romance, twists and turns, the expected and the unexpected. I was entranced. The author, Trin Denise had a wonderful way with words - words that keep you on the edge of your seat and unwilling to put her book down. I want her to just keep on keeping the books coming. When I finish one of the author's books I am stunned that it has come to an end - I just want more of her novels.
