Works great on my 4k TV to play my Xbox original.

Picture is great on a bigger TV but some games it can be a little rough. Xbox is soft modded so the modded Xbox menu really pops.

The connection is great, the issue is the HDMI cable that comes with the package is not good so the sound breaks but if you replace it with a good cable it will work great. If the HDMI cable on the box was working correctly then its a 5 star product. If you have any issue just try another hdmi cable and most likely the issues will be resolved. Very happy even with the issue due to the massive resolution increase.

I had some time off from work and have a TV that only has HDMI, which makes playing all of my older game consoles a bit more challenging. I had planned on getting the Pound adapter since it didn't have a built in HDMI connector. I figured using the HDMI cable that is used for my other consoles would be easier to use than trying to get to the other HDMI ports on the back of the TV. Unfortunately, the Pound adapter wasn't available at the time, so I looked at this one with slight hesitation. It arrived in time, and works as advertised. I have not tried using it without the power adapter, even though they do claim that it often is not necessary. I also did not use the HDMI cable that ships with it. I saw many reviews complain about its quality, and as mentioned above, I already have an HDMI cable plugged in for other consoles that was easier to use. I haven't used this extensively, but it worked flawlessly for me when I used it, and the picture quality is great. I don't have the world's fanciest TV, and also have realistic expectations. The build quality does feel a bit cheap. There isn't much heft to the thing, and it feels like a hollow, cheap adapter, but I'm pretty easy on things, and don't imagine there will be any issues with it.

Sound quality and picture quality are TOP tier!! I've never seen her (xbox) look and sound this good! Don't waste your time with others. (I got an AV-to-HDMI adapter the first time and there were visible lines and toned down colors on the screen, not to mention the sound was horrible. I thought it was a huge upgrade from simply AV, so i dealt with it.) I accidentally bought a new one (this exact product) because i forgot i had gotten the cheap one lol. So it all worked out, and i'm excited to play all the old greats, the difference is A+ !!

Well, of course I was skeptical on whether this would work. I'm a gamer of over 35 years. Then I had hopes because this little gadget needs a power source to work. I put in Def Jam FFNY and I'LL BE DAMNED. IT WORKS!!!! Whoever created this product.....THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO VERY MUCH!!! :D Worked better than what I expected.

I have an old xbox (original style), and we got a new TV that only has HDMI hookups... so I eventually ordered this and handed this box to my 8-year-old. It took the kids a bit to get everything hooked up and working, but I don't think they had any trouble figuring this adapter out. Exactly what I needed and would buy again.

Does 1080p and does not get warm. Very happy with the adapter, I have heard horror stories about others that use composite signal and upscale but this one actually uses the component signal and provides true HD.

The signal is a direct pass through of the AV pins and forced into a 720p signal, which means the image will be super dark, stretched and the whites will be blown out. There are tons of jail bars in the image. The box I received the adapter came with the instructions for N64 to HDMI! Which means their product is re-used for other consoles and all they do is solder on a different Console Video Port connector to same unit. I have the one for N64 as well... and it doesn't even pull the S-video signal. I had hoped for better results since people posted pictures from modded consoles... but my modded console does not even Detect the unit as a component device. My actual xbox-AV connector, sadly gives a better image despite being 480i. Oh and the JAIL BARS...... Very sad considering the reviews were kinda positive.

The signal quality is horrible, and the output is 480i (Xbox does not recognize it as a component cable) fake upscaled to 720/1080p by the dongle Even the stock composite cable of the Xbox looks better than this. It does work, but I would not buy it.
