Don’t even look for other tuning hammer options on Amazon. If you are a serious student technician then this is the absolute best option for you!

The longer handle makes this worth it. If you’ve already ordered a kit that has the mutes and felt, it probably came with a shot handled hammer. Do yourself a favor and get this one. Your arms and sanity will thank you.

This tool provides more leverage, but care and patience are needed to avoid breaking the strings.

I'm a piano player with an upright that occasionally goes slightly out of tune. Although I'm not skilled enough at tuning to get perfection, this tool helps me get the tuning to a reasonably acceptable point.Btw, I previously had no idea how delicate a process piano tuning is - sometimes it feels like no movement at all in the lever, yet the frequency changes. Pro piano tuners must have the hands of a surgeon.

This hammer is working as expected. It's not as tight as it could be on the pegs, but my piano is very cheap, so it would probably be unfair to attribute that to the hammer.I hate that these things are so expensive. I have yet to hear an explanation as to why these can't be mass-produced at $5 each.

I've owned this tuning lever for quite a few years now. Don't let the name student deter you from buying this. It grips the pins very well and is well made. Considering what it is, the cost and function I gave it 5 stars.

Cheap but reliable!!!

The socket is replaceable and the length of the tool makes it easy to adjust the pins, even if you need the slightest shift to finish tuning. Great tool.
