Super Moon In My Room Remote Control Wall Décor Night Light with Sound

COOLEST EVER! My oldest daughter used this moon for 8 years before finally passing it on to her sister. My youngest daughter has been using it for 2 years and also absolutely loves it!This moon has been used daily for the past 10 years and is still going strong!I'll be sad when it finally gives out because the newer model doesn't have the solar eclipse function which has been one of our favorite features.I used velcro to attach the remote to their beds for easy access and to keep it from getting lost!

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about this. My son LOVE it. We use it as a timer at night--he gets 15 minutes to read on his tablet after lights out, so we turn on the moon and when it goes off, he knows it's time to put the tablet up. He then switches it to eclipse mode which emits a red glow that he finds soothing and puts him right to sleep. In the middle of the night, he turns the moon on full moon so he has light to get in and out of his room by. It also sets itself to match the phases of the actual moon outside--a neverending sense of amusement to see if it's right or not. To hang it, it actually has markings on the back so you know how to orient it. The biggest problem we have is losing that itty-bitty remote. I finally velcroed it, so it attaches to his bed, in easy reach. Now getting g him to USE my add on feature? Totally different story. Now it uses batteries, but I have not changed them in eight months. There is a place you can actually put a cord in and plug it into the wall, but I never used that feature.

We love this moon- It is the coolest. If you are waffling between the original Moon in My Room vs. the Super Moon, GET THIS ONE. That said, hang onto your remote for dear life! My 2-year-old dropped her big sister's remote in the fish tank, so I went online to order a replacement. (**You HAVE to have the remote to operate the "real-time" calendar stages of the moon feature, which is the COOLEST feature.) Getting a replacement turned out to be pretty complicated. I couldn't find anywhere to order the remote for the Super Moon (which is different from the two versions of the original Moon). Your best bet if you have to replace a remote is to call Uncle Milton directly and speak to someone. Even that is not a sure thing. Over about a 6 week time period, I got 2 replacement remotes that did not go to the Super Moon. When I received the second one, I called them to talk about it and they sent me a brand new Super Moon in My Room! So, customer service not consistently helpful, but in the end, TOTALLY accommodating. Now we're back in business and enjoying all the cool features of the Super Moon.

I bought this for my 10 year old son for Christmas. This thing is so cool! I didn't realize when I bought this that you can program it to always be in sync with the real moon. Even does a lunar eclipse. I was highly disappointed it doesn't do a blood moon as my kids and I watch every one of them together. My son had pointed it out and asked why a lunar eclipse and not program a bloodmood. I also didn't know it had 2 sound choices when I ordered it. One is the actual recording of the first moon landing the other is night sounds. The real annoying part about this moon is that it does not give you the option to have it stay on or shut off in X amount of minutes. This is the reson for my 4 star. The thing just shuts off after a little bit. Why!? Please update product with the two choices!Overall, this is a super cool product and would make a great gift for anyone. My son really likes it, however, he is so disappointed that it will not stay on that I find he is losing interest in it because of that. I still want to buy one and put it in my bedroom to use as a mood light for the husband and I. Since the shut off time is way more than enough time for us, it just seems meant to be.Awesomely cheesy that would be.

The Super Moon In My Room is a wonderful addition to any child's bedroom. In a darkened room, even when lit up as a Full Moon, the light is soothing and not too bright. The fact that it can be set up to display the actual phase of the moon is a real bonus. The kids love to look out the window and compare the real moon to their Super Moon.As an added treat, it plays the historic recordings of the Apollo 11 Astronauts as they landed on the Moon. We haven't purchased the optional a/c power adapter, but are the C batteries are holding up well.If you have kids with an interest in the Moon or Space in general, this item will be a hit.

Birthday gift for a five year old and it's her favorite! Remote is easy to navigate between phases, the solar eclipse is totally worth it, and the moon landing quote from Neil Armstrong is really cool. It can match the moon outside or be set to each phase but she usually has it set to full moon as a night light that times out after a half hour. Cannot recommend enough!"It's Awesome!" -my 5 year old

My daughter absolutely loves this! The fact that it follows the actual moon phases is a really nice touch. It provides some nice light in her from, but not too much, even when it's a "full moon". I didn't get the AC adapter for it because I didn't want the cord running down the wall, and it seems like the batteries last about 6 months, which is pretty good.If I had one complaint it would be that when you have to change the batteries it completely loses the configuration, so you need to reset the date again so that it can replicate the moons phases. It would have been nice to have a small internal battery that held that so it didn't have to be constantly re-done.
