I like the space-saving design when not in use, I like the adjustability of it, how you can set it to different heights if necessary. And I was impressed that it could hold my weight (presently around 240lb). In short, it will hold up as long as you keep your weight centered on the stool. But if you lean in one direction or another even the slightest bit, pieces can break off rather precipitously. Which mine did. And once that happens there's no fixing it. It's trash.Still, I like what it can do, and now that I know it's limitations, maybe I'll buy another and try to be more careful with how I use it...

I must say I was not expecting much when I got this. But it actualy suprised me quiet a bit. This thing is quite sturdy. It works well as a poor man's astronomy chair. It's ajustable height is wonderful and well engineered it is sturdy from about to inches to its full height. It's east and quick to adjust the height witch for my purposes is ideal. I do wish it would go a bit higher, but I do realise that if it did it would loose stability.(that wish is solely for astronomy viewing purposes. ) for every thing else I have used it for it has been great. The best part about this stool is how compact it can go. Getting equipment around isn't a problem in my vehicle. However this thing should easily fit under almost any cars front seat, should space be a problem you have a lot of options.

My dad has Parkinson’s. He still can go for walks, but there’s no benches or anything to rest in while he’s out. It was making it hard to go on walks. He takes this with him and uses it to rest. It is VERY lightweight and VERY easy to expand out to sit on. Now he can get out there and keep moving!!

I loved this at first. Big enough, light weight, could adjust heights and stored it in a drawer. Appeared sturdy but on fourth use the little mushroom studs that hold it up sheared off, causing it to collapse about two inches. Not enough to fall, thank goodness. But it is useless now. Because I used it past the return date, I’m stuck.Cannot reach Silginnes. Would like to return this item!

I purchased the retractable stool with carefully checking all of the requirements. I am well under the weight level. It came apart while I was sitting on it. Luckily, I was not hurt. More very disappointed. There are so many little part to make it retract and expand. I have the pieces that cameoff but it is many and too difficult to put back due to the retractable spring.The amount of time to returns ends today. Lesson learned. I am buying my original chose more $ but sturdier.

I wait for the ferry usually at least half an hour so this is perfect, very easy to carry. I will often put my sweatshirt or jacket to make it a tad more comfortable.

It is supposed to support up to 330 lbs, it does not. I weigh 296 lbs and it broke after one use. If you are a large person and if you do not want to be embarrassed, do not purchase this product because it does not work. Luckily for me I was the only person in the laundry room of my hotel when it broke. It had to be thrown away; not worth the money and do not waste your time.

I bought this item for my massage therapist. Initially he loved it, told many of his customers how great it was. Then this week when he sat down it fell apart, the base separated from rest of stool and he fell to the ground. He only weight about 150 so we’ll within approved weight. I am upset that this happened and was embarrassed that my gift fell apart.
